As a Mumbaikar, I'm grateful that someone like you created this informative video. Honestly, many of us here had no idea about this issue. I was aware of the events in '84 but not this. Films like this should be made and released worldwide. Even if there's a language barrier, they should be released with subtitles and promoted more. I hope they find a way to release it on OTT if not in theaters.

It's kinda sad you know, when people label punjab youth as khalistanis and such, It's just that we punjab youth, don't want these incidents to happen again. These incidents were very brutal, and still terrifies us. Whole families were raped, looted, murdered in one single night by police the ones who constitution told us that would protect us. This is the reason for the sudden surge of punjab youth emigration to foreign land as having a foreign country supporting you can give you sense of security that these things wouldn't happen again and that we are better prepared as one. All the political parties these days tries to ignite and paint their own story in the eyes of other states as they like regarding the punjab and it's history. We love india, but we love a united and supporting india, not the india which discriminates us. People of other states say that punjab people rise issues over nothing, but the fact is we want to keep the government in check and want them to keep in mind that this time, we are gona stand strong and fight if needed. It is very grateful of youtubers like noor which are telling the full story, not painting the pictures however they want like nitesh rajput or some other people. Its finally the time where the youth of 1984 had grown up into adults with careers enough to support these things. Diljit have made a movie on this, i believe almost 10 years ago, search regarding it 1984. Its just that we want the public to know all the aspects. And this has nothing to do with india as country progress, its good and we and specially i myself i learning to become a quantum computing research in india, i too want india in top. But you saying why did diljit needed to release this at the moment is the reason that government is practicing unsupervised power, its still a young democracy, there still areas to improve in the constitution. Things like manipur and Kolkata cases are still happening. Thats the reason, if you think this movie or our mindset is a roadblock for india economic success then first check the mindset of the Indian politicans and see if they really want the indian citizens success or theirs. I am from Amritsar, we were living in a main bazaar. It was very close to golden temple, bullets sounds, curfews and hunger were becoming normal in our lives, but the terrible memory not leaving me till today, It was an unimaginable what I saw. Being an 8 year old child has lived a life who has seen/witnessed two big tractor trolleys, which use to collect garbage/rubbish from our houses and streets. one after another day carrying dead bodies, leaving a trail of strong sting/smell which was stuck could smell it for months after that incident. I was on the first floor of our house. view it from the top cant explain but I still have those memory crystal clear, like its been carved some where very deep in my memory, after that I just started hearing, including my mum that people were so scared and they were not even allowed to say Sant Bhindra Walya ji's name, If you do then police will arrest you and rest will be a history. I would salute and thanks to the people who are raising voice for un heard issues and spreading awareness through detailed videos for us to understand and learn. Waheguru ek ek shaheed nu apne charna wich jagaah deve. 🙏

firstly thank you for making this video, although I have grown up listening to stories about how my uncles and my cousins of my mother used to be picked up by police (Jangpur Village Ludhiana) & how some and how some were even killed by these "so-called encounters by Punjab police" but the larger part of what has happened to my community I learned later on and videos like these help a great deal to spread awareness within Sikh community. one of the MAIN reasons we have not got any justice and still people who are responsible are at large and still the discrimination is going on 100's of Sikh political prisoners are locked up in Indian jails even after their sentences were complete is the LACK OF AWARENESS.
