Still got mines to this day , can’t lie 1992-1995 were one of the best years for civics

Yeah it’s really great behind the wheel. Even stock form it’s fun to cruise and take it to a backroad

I've owned over 30 Hondas since the early 2000s and MY 1995 HONDA CIVIC EX COUPE I've had for well over a decade and is now a full-blown track car Started off with a fully built all motor d16 z6 pushing almost 200 hp naturally aspirated which was almost unheard of....... Now it has a k24 block and a K20 head...... BUT I MUST SAY....... The 92-95 is my favorite generation of Civic out of the golden era of Hondas........ The ex model does get WAY MORE STORAGE I get door pockets on the lower part of the doors the coin storage up in front of the cup holders and armrest in the center console that opens up plus the glove box And then with the ex model you obviously get power steering AC cruise control ABS four-wheel disc brakes power windows power locks sunroof Mine is now a bare Bones race car nothing but two racing seats and everything behind the front seats has got it out and no more AC no more power steering no more cruise control no more ABS converted it to a DX manual rack and pinion With a crazy custom two tone paint job but not your typical ricer two tone paint job..... It's the original black on the bottom half but then the hood the roof and the trunk and just underneath the windows it flows with the body line the top half is this crazy candy blue and black Galaxy paint mix with tons of metallic flake in it something you would see on an old school lowrider I love my 1995 Honda Civic coupe I've had the DX I've owned multiple of the 92 to 95 coupes I've had EF hatchbacks I've had CRX I've had integra's I've had an Eck 99 to 2000 coupe I've had an RSX I've had an S2000....... A very very rare edition 2004 Honda Accord V6 6-speed manual coupe with the hfp Honda factory performance package and they only made 500 of them But at the end of the day my 95 Civic EX will always be my pride and joy and my baby and that's why I made it into a track car and no longer daily drive it for close to 7 years
@vanhasydan47546 ай бұрын
I've always loved the 92-2000 Civics/Del Sol after having owned 2 plus a DC integra. The EX had the D16Z6 (92-95) or D16Y8 (96-2000). Straightforward, simple, reliable. Only issue is the camber and toe arm in the rear suspension but that's correctable. I'm 5'4. Note: from what I have read, theres a way to change the center console out for one from an EK.

These civic are the best daily driver cars. Finding a clean untouched one is super hard. They are simple and easy to fix. The Del Sol are nice.

I have owned a DOHC ZC swapped 91 Rio Red DX Hatchback, a 96 Granada Black Pearl DX Hatchback, a 95 Frost White EX Coupe, and am currently driving a 98 Vogue Silver EX Coupe. I LOVE the Hatchbacks over the coupes, as they are just so damn practical, storage for DAYS. But 95% of all Civic hatchbacks, ef, eg, or ek, are just tattered and ran through at this point and the other clean, unmodified/tastefully modified 5% are being sold at triple or quadruple KBB value. Also finding any 3 pedal Civic runs into the same 95/5% issues. Which is why my current civic is an automatic. I still paid too much, but it wasn't modified at all, clean as clean can be. Have since rebuilt the suspension, every single bushing, bearing and ball joint has been replaced, disc swapped the rear and found a decent set of LS Meshies with plans to manual and motor swap it soon.

I KNOW WHAT YOUR PROBLEM IS WITH YOUR THROTTLE I've had a 95 Civic EX for over a decade and owned over 30 Hondas If your idle does that when it's cold it is your fast idle valve which is bolted onto the bottom of the throttle body and you can take that off clean it out with brake cleaner tighten the throttle screw down inside of it all the way down or 3/4 of the way down that will solve the idle up and down when the car is cold...... If it does it once it's warmed up then it is the IAC valve..... The IAC valve you can replace and buy new don't bother trying to clean that one but the fast idle valve you can no longer get them and cleaning them will fix the problem BEEN THERE DONE THAT DEALT WITH IT ON MY D16 Z6 WHEN I GOT MY COUPE OVER 10 YEARS AGO AND I'VE DEALT WITH IT ON MULTIPLE OTHER HONDAS THAT I'VE HAD OBD1 civics have the fast idle valve underneath the throttle body that does that idol issue when it's warming up and an idle air control valve that causes that idol issue once it's warmed up where is OBD2 Hondas like EK civics 96 to 2000 only have the IAC valve no fast idle
