Hey do you ever get infront of a storm front? There is a front that's moving right now from Colorado to the s.e. and will sweep accross Oklahoma tomorrow. They are saying 60-70 mile per hur winds. I wounder what it would be like to soar infront of a storm front like that. I've never glided but I would be down to get infront of one of these. Do you ever take long trips at higher alts? Do you bring snacks? Dabs? If you were on a extended trip and have to pee is that manageable?

The most revolutionary wing ever was the Woopy jump/fly. There are some videos on KZbin about it and it looks incredible, but the videos are old and I've never seen it for sale. For someone just looking for an easy flight and few complications...it is the way to go. The wing is incredibly light and simple. For those who are just looking for some simple flying, I thinks it's better than anything else out there. Can't imagine why it never "took off".

About hiking up the hill in the beginning, no trees just small bushes on the face of the hill. Why did not you use Moustaches in kite-mode, letting the wing pull you upwards, like in 7:20 your friend does. For snow-speedflyers that is a beginner trick to climb up with PG/Speedwing. Then lift-hike of at the middle of the hill and the fly away to the top? With hand gliders if we need to climb to the top we let the wind to do the work more by pushing from top side of the sail up, naturally HG weights much more.
@bekanav2 жыл бұрын
Quite similar speed system most foil kites have had for last 15 years. Pulling ratios seems to be 1:3 for C line row and 1:6 for B. Foil kites usually have 1:2 for C and 1:4 for B but also those a bit smaller ratios have been used. Bigger ratios give more effect but handles (bar) become also heavier

I can see the "point of the mountain" from my front door, and yes you are correct, they prohibit flying directly over the homes. They train and practice flying on the opposite (south) side of the mountain in the mornings, and then they switch back in the afternoons, when the currents start to come in from the north. It's pretty cool to seeing them all flying when you pass by on the freeway.

Last year I heard of some serious and even fatal incidents with this wing and from pilots describing surprising wing reactions out of the blue. Always remember this kite (not a paraglider it's a kite with short lines) can't be tested LTF and is therefore banned in some countries. For sure fun to play with, but always remember you enter the more dangerous extreme sport category like speedflying.

I bet the trip was a blast ..I'm gonna make sure an go back and hit up all the vids iv missed these past two or 3 months as soon as I can and smash that 👍🏼 like always😉🤙🏼 edit, would you recommend the mustache 13 for a beginner? do you think of one kited it for a few weeks on a small hill and took it slow itsl could be something one could manage? maybe the 16 be better, just price is always the issue for me, with family and bills and here in Ireland an UK theres massive " cost of living crisis" goin on since after C0vid and no signs of it gettin better, so Its been my dream since child hood to fly, but when ever iv near enough saved, Christmas comes up,or school books n uniform's, gas price and huge tax hikes, and Im near mid 40s I must get into the air befor I'm too old n frail lol.. I'd buy a second handwing only it's hard to find someone that's goin to be honest about, if it's damaged,or been repaired or not serviced.. you really need someone you can trust in that regard..if you ever get gifted wings you don't like but good for beginners,keep me in mind man, I'd trust you or any of your boys 🤙🏼. cannot wait till next week's vid when you put a motor on it..it's prob gonna be the equivalent to Formula 1 or Indie car level😬. it's just dawned on me next week's vid is probably out as this one's 11days old and like I said iv not been gettin your vids or notifications so extra Stoked right now😁🍿✌🏼

I surf every day and have never flown but I’d like to order a Mojo from you someday. If I can make a comparison it’s this: skydiving is like normal surfing. Pretty long ride. Relatively safe. Lots of speed and thrill but in general pretty safe. BASE jumping seems like big wave surfing. In and out with the potential to absolutely get wrecked or die. Adds lime junkies only. Heavy consequences. And paragliding, looks extremely close to hydrofoil surfing. Fairly low risk depending on the spot. Insane speed. And you can paddle for a wave and ride endless waves if you have the cardio. Seeing you jump off a hill and land at the same spot, makes me fall in love with this. BASE jumping looks sketchy and scary and lots of work for a short ride. Skydiving is expensive and still a fairly short ride. But paraglide looks insane. I just don’t have the money to buy a rig as I have other hobbies, but, if paragliding was something I could rent, I’d be all in until I could dive into my own rig.
