AI design looks pretty creppy imo

I see, using a bot to combined stolen artwork into a souless mess is "fun". But AI is just more easy and imediatly rewarding, the same kind of instant reward youtube shorts and sugar create in the brain. Very different from the kind that take work time and passion to create something.

I agree, there’s a lot of junk being created by AI. But it doesn’t stop anyone from being creative with it. Perhaps your critique photographers also got from painters when photography got invented?

@@Jan-Gess I paint and take photos as a hobby , I enjoy both process differently, and I can perfectly understand generating some images and finding that funny for a moment, but I see 2 fundamental problem with seing this tech a "the futur" as some people like to call it, the unconcented stealing of other artworks, this is not inspiration but scrapping millions of photos and artwork without consent. and the second problem, for me at least, is the human input, the craft behind the art, the execution from an human hand and brain into something that wasn't there before, and I don't see that in all the neuro trained ia art, it's a machine that dont understand what it's doing regurgitating shapes and forms. But I guess more people prefer the funny and instant reward of IA art given how popular it has been recently

copyright is already problematic, adding complexity such as how much time someone has spent to create something would make it even more unworkable, imho.

Cause good photography is actually challenging, and who wants to be anything but I glorified robot interfacing with a robot? You know what’s hilarious? Most of the training images on the major platforms are 72 dpi. Sounds like a rewarding printing process (the ink on paper kind).

Why is AI image making even compared to photography? AI is just one of many ways to create images, like printmaking or watercolor painting, none of which require a rejection of photography.

Well It depends how you use it but AI image making can do all of those things, photography, printmaking or watercolour. Photography didn't eliminate painting and AI doesn't mean a rejection of the old ways either. As we talk about in the video Its another way of doing something but with extra possibilities - that the exciting part.
