So many are out on Purdue a pivot to them winning it all could be a very low % of brackets...
@johngleich13798 ай бұрын
It bothers me so much how Eddy turns the "wrong way" on his rolls. Instead of opening up like a door... the direction of the ball, he turns his back and his head, loses eye contact with the ball, as he cuts. Doesn't matter too terribly much for him, since he doesn't want the ball at the elbow anyway, wants it closer to the basket. Just seems fundamentally unsound for an otherwise very fundamentally sound basketball player/team!
@elwinlamon8 ай бұрын
That's actually taught now. Turn a run (down hill) instead of pivot back toward ball. Basically comes down to how to use Big.
@johngleich13798 ай бұрын
@@elwinlamon I still teach all my big men the "old" way! There are good reasons, too - specifically because if the big defender switches into the guard, opening like a door seals the defender guard - he's already on the big's back.
@johngleich13798 ай бұрын
@@elwinlamon Also, he DOES do it my "right" way a couple of times on the video.
@elwinlamon8 ай бұрын
@@johngleich1379 both ways are right. It's a matter of concept. Old Way: better pocket pass, short roll, pop. Newer concept: wider and deeper (spacing) toward basket. Most catches are closer to rim.

@jw25898 ай бұрын
Edey gets away with probably like 5 plays per game that circulate everywhere. He also gets fouled about 15 times per game with no call that nobody talks about. I saw tons of stuff yesterday about 2 fouls he committed, which were fouls. I didn't see anything about Wisconsin clearly fouling him on a turnover with 15 seconds left that would've won the game or how he got a soft tech for talking trash. Purdue never loses a game that is called to the exact rulebook. Can't have it both ways then whine that he's overly physical. @@lukebradley7879
