I have a 2012 Toyota Highlander Hybrid limited I bought in January 2016 with 70,000 km on it for $40,000.00 Canadian . It has almost 300,000 km on it and I’ve just started to look for a newer vehicle seeing as the hybrid battery is just starting to go now . They are great vehicles .

Luv my 2018 highlander hope to get half million miles also toyota they say to change oil every 10.000 klm no way. I change it every 5000 klm bet car I ever owned Excellant fuel mileage like 32 miles to the gallon comfortable beautiful handling.buy another 1 in heart beat enjoy thanks Crank

FYI: the facelifted Highlander has a different engine and gearbox from the pre-facelift models. 2GR-FKS Vs 2GR-FE, and an 8 speed automatic transmission Vs a 6 speed automatic.

The V6 engine is not the only engine available in the Highlander though, there's a 4 cylinder engine (the same one in the 2009-2015 Venza) and a V6 hybrid that uses the 2GR engine with a hybrid battery pack. However, the V6 is the most common choice.

In the real sense of it, a Ford explorer of same age is more of a luxury car than a highlander. Wish you could do a match up with the two.

Nice one Crank👍🏾! Just needed to add that the engine and transmission for the 2016 - 2018 model was upgraded from the 3.5L 2GR-FE V6 (6-speed auto) to 2GR-FKS V6 (8-speed auto) which is also used in 4th generation (2019 - 2022). So this generation comes in 2 different engines and transmissions with the latter having better fuel economy. I noticed it when I first bought the 2018 model in 2020 and now my wife now drives the 2021 model (4th gen). They both share the same engine and transmission. Keep up the good work guys. Nigerians are getting better informed👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
