Spurs are a very successful business but not a successful football club. The rot started when Irving Scholar floated the club on the stock market. When Alan Sugar took over the club was on the verge of bankruptcy. Sugar ran it like a business as well and sold to ENIC. The continued emphasis on good financial management isn't a bad thing in itself but when we see that we have the lowest wages to turnover ratio in the PL and Levy gets the highest directors pay there is something fundamentally wrong. Managers know this - they see Jose, Nuno and Antonio fail due to lack of support - which is why the best now shun us and we end up with Ange. Not a bad manager but not the right manager for a top club. And when we had top managers they weren't backed. Also we get lower grade players as the best dont come either. A disaster so foreseeable that is nigh on negligent.

Time for relegation the only way to punish the greedy Chairman is to stop spending at his club and get relegated. As much as I’d hate it it’s the only way to strike at him and force his hand to get back into the upper echelons of the top flight end of the table. NOTHING ELSE will work.

@leesnelling6886 Hi Sonny senior! Nice to meet you I guess we are the same generation. i started with Jimmy Greaves in the late 60s. The 80s team was great. Even when we got relegated in the 70s the team played with heart but we were nowhere near the top then. After 2019 our expectations and resources have increased but our owner fails to invest. We are a joke right now. Very sad. Love your sons channel by the way!

As annoying as it was to listen to Antonio Conte railing against the club 2 years ago, look what he has accomplished at my Serie A club, SSC Napoli, who are top of the table after a disastrous season last year. At Napoli he has the support of the owner, at Tottenham NO MANAGER has had this for years. LEVY OUT is the only path forward.

The reason we are 15th is we have a mass of players out through injury. Take the same amount of key players out of any team and they are not as competitive. Ange has not been able to play his preferred tactics with the players he has available. Each week it's a new line up and each time he simply hasn't been able to build momentum. I support Ange and Levy. Levy needs to put his hand in his pocket and buy some marquee players. He doesn't need to go but he needs to learn a lesson. Ange has not been in this situation and is learning also. Some of his calls have been poor but the team has had the opportunities to win almost every game. Missed chances and defensive errors by players have been the problem. The mental and physical fatigue on the players still fit is also and issue. The first team players need start returning and Ange needs to play players in their best position. Players like kulu. Porro needs to compete for his position he has been wasteful at crucial moments making poor decisions. Everyone wants someone to blame for the results when it's clear. Injuries, fatigue. Fans also play a role, new players don't want to come to Tottenham because of the fragile fans, Content creators that promote a constant negative narrative. So in my opinion, Levy and Ange don't need to go, they need to work together and get the club back to winning ways. Changing them will create a new brand of problems which the toxic fanbase will be very quick to jump on and once again call for change expecting immediate results.

@SonnyTalksSpurs Levy has got the club business side cranking and has built it into a juggernaut, it's what is needed to become competitive at the highest level. I don't want him to leave, I want him to listen to the Fans, the experts and make the changes needed. I want him to put his hands in his pockets and make some statement signings he has one part of the club completely sorted now he needs to sort the other side of it. Winning and backing the manager. I think he is. We have been unlucky, we have injuries, we have been Poor but we ain't getting relegated and we are still in the cups. It's not all bad. That's how I see it, it is painful but they are my team and I support every part of them.

Ange & Levy need to go! They can’t be backing him if they’re not buying players in January. Because if they were backing him Levy would go out there and just buy players regardless of paying over the market value, but we all know that Levy only cares about profits and money coming in. I guarantee you we will sign no other players in January because Levy is waiting for us to get kicked out of the 3 cup competitions and as soon as we do, then he’ll sack him. Romero was correct! His comments about us not buying players like the big 5 clubs do, was spot on! I want Jürgen Klinsmann or Joachim Löw as manager. Or get either Harry Redknapp or Glenn Hoddle as interim manager.

The rot started with Alan Sugar, if not Irving Scholar, when commercial considerations became the core policy of the club. While we are a well managed business - a multi entertainment venue business where the football is just one offering - we are not a successful football club. Its becoming a joke to say you support Spurs. Personally as a very old fan, I feel I've been conned especially since 2019 when we were CL runners up and didn't kick on from there. Instead we've regressed. Spurs are becoming a waste of time frankly.

Wages, transfer fees, Club reputation under Levy. Poch, Mourinho and Conte all had injury problems before Ange. So second rate cheap medical staff as well. All this means the club is being run from a spreadsheet not a trophy cabinet perspective! Next weeks banner "High quality staff needs highest wages."

Seriously, the debt is an asset-basked mortgage with the ability to pay it down easily based on revenues. The debt is not the issue, however the banks will not let Levy go on a credit card spending spree. Transfer spending 2019-2024 was not the issue either. This was the biggest in the club's history and occurred with all the stadium debt in place.

Levy grew a bang average EPL side with an aging-bang-average-sized stadium with bang-average revenues into a club with state-of-the-art facilities, top 6 revenues and, until this season, regular top 6 league finishes. It's legitimate to argue that he can't achieve the next step, a pack of lies to say 'he held the club back'. He's not the billionaire - blame Joe Lewis for not being a sugar-daddy back in the day.

Subtract £45m from revenue which the banks subtract for the mortgage and wages:revenue is close to 50%. Subtract running costs of a big stadium from revenues (something Bournemouth have very little of) and staff cots:available revenue go up again. Financial simpletons look for ratios to complain about. Ratios must always be put into context for each club.
@StevenHaze
@StevenHaze 20 сағат бұрын
@@rhysjaggar4677 You don't subtract that type of cost from revenue? Liabilities are not balanced that way and ratios are considered accounting language? But I think you are referring to outright wages? Total Wages 2014-2023 1. Man City 2.92 Bn 2. Man U 2.86 Bn 3. Chelsea 2.74 Bn 4. Liverpool 2.68 Bn 5. Arseholes 2.12 Bn 6. Spurs 1.6 Bn 7. Everton 1.31 Bn 8 Leicester 1.26 Bn According to Deloitte We deserve to finish near Everton! It is equally bad for Transfer fees as well Lastly the increase in revenue over the las 2-3 years has not brought a corresponding rise in wages whilst other teams are paying more in wages look at Chelsea wage structure! E.G. Imagine you are Sesko you decide its time to go to the EPL! Spurs or Man City? Low wages and a thin squad that will hurt you irrespective of the manager. Or, Man city on rebuild getting 200 000 more per week. Who do you sign with?

In reality we're a modest club with a modest history and an appalling recent history in relation to status we've been given in this age of hype and popular falsehoods. We've set ourselves up as the premier undisputed banter club by allowing ourselves to fall for the 'Big 6' nonsense being the only club in that supposed elite band without either a league title or an fa cup trophy in the premier league age while all the other 5 except one has a champions league or two as well. The person acting as chairman of this club I believe is nothing but a rhino hide thick skinned pr prop put forward by the faceless remote corporation who hijacked the club to give the impression he's the relatable club supporting emotionally involved owner when in reality this faceless remote corporation took over the principle landmark in Haringey, a fertile area of north London for the prime purpose of having a base to expand exponentially and the local political influence and extraordinary marketing opportunity. I imagine ultimately probably not too long in the future that area around the sports and entertainment complex they built will resemble a mini city of London financial district or slightly more austere Las Vegas in appearance, a soulless mini metropolis of commerce, hotels and multi-sports & entertainment complexes likely stretching towards Enfield, a labyrinth of money generating glass clad buildings and people to match. I don't think the concerns of feeble minded and hearted football fans is going to halt that relentless one tracked corporate ongoing vision.
