Lower Time Frame Vs. Higher Time Frame. The Lower Timeframe curse! Any active trader will try to go down on timeframes to try to get a better picture of what's happening. I'm referring to 5-minute and even 1-minute charts! But sometimes we can get so absorbed by the lower timeframes that we tend to forget what happened on the higher timeframe. Which time frame is better for trading? Which timeframes are the best for trading? Lower time frame consists of 1-minute to 15-minute chart is not advisable for beginners. OK.

The lower time frames are designed to make you feel like a useless trader and cause you to cancel stop losses and stack positions while also abusing leverage. I don’t trade them anymore. You have to be like a disciplined monk if you want to succeed on LTF trading.

There is another low TF curse, that's because weakness in a trend appears way before it reverse, so you tend to be contrarian, while they are still exuberant....

1, 3, & 5m candles are all very unreliable in my opinion. - instead use the 15m for key levels and focus on a tick or range chart for entries & structure

Well presented! I personally scalp the 1min EURUSD; but ALWAYS mark important hourly res/sup lines on my chart. When close, I simply don´t trade. Also I have the hourly open on a different screen, to not forget the overal bias.

PS: if for example you can see, on the H1m, a giant double top at a previous strong resistance - my chances of a succesfull short scalp (IF all my criteria are met) goes up exponentially....

five 1min candles within a 5min single candle are nothing but VOLATILITY, and we end up making bad decisions in the Volatility (based on 1min candles) and not focusing on bigger time frames reality.

It's not only the low time-frame, you can also use the 17mn TF, or 32 minutes, ie. regular TF +/- 10% ... every TF. Right now, i'm unable to predict on which side the EURUSD will breakout... but 17mn tends to be bearish.

Hey! Thanks for another amazing Video! I need your help please. I don't really see myself no more in being in front of the screens at all times and scalp trade, it's just not me. Furthermore, I way more enjoy doing proper analysis, then taking on a position with a limit order only and then let the trade sit intraday until market close. I don't want to start swing trading, but I want to expand my knowledge into this particular field of doing more analysis and then enter a trade which I take at the open and stay in the entire day in the higher time frame as well basically. I have all the basic knowledge, and trade actively since 6 months now, hence I see myself on the advanced side, not the beginner any more. Do you have any courses, books I can read to this topic and anything that can help me to further develop into this direction of holding trades long term, rather than scalp trading for quick profits with high share size. Thanks in advance man and keep up the amazing work!

6 months is not really 'advanced' - you need many years of experience to consider yourself an advanced trader I'm afraid. You can learn a lot just by watching past videos on this channel.

I'd honestly say 6 months is still in the beginner phase. Before you see all types of market conditions, there is still a lot you're not even able to learn yet. But the good thing is last 6 months have been very difficult, for crypto trading at least, I am pretty sure that's across the board though. Learning in a bear is better for discipline. I got into trading crypto during a major uptrend, and I was kinda lulled into false security. It was like raining money. When the bear came I had trouble letting go of my bullish sentiment. Perhaps conversely you're lulled into an overly cautious mindset, which is the safer of the two. But yeah the dynamics change a lot on a long term scale. I hit many point where I felt, I feel not a beginner anymore, than I learn another really hard lesson because of some other market dynamic I haven't experienced yet. 2, 3 years I'd' say is a typical beginner phase. I could be wrong, you could just be picking it up very quick or have the right type of mind for it. *edit* - ah, he answered you, I see now. Ah well maybe there's some useful insight here anyhow for someone.

Horses for courses. Any time in the market is exposure risk, keeping that to a minimum is as valid a strategy as any. Of course you will get burnt if you don't have the experience. A knife thrower at the circus just doesn't turn up and give it a crack one day does he ?
