I don't think GSP believes trash talk is destroying the UFC like the caption says. He's saying at times individuals cross the lines, because showmanship is part of the fight business. And what GSP did to protect himself from such trash talk is to keep private aspects of his life which are dear to him (what he's most proud of). So, trash talk never became personal to him because he never allowed anyone to have those personal data points to hit him with.

Colby is a dweeb and nothing about him and his 'character' is authentic. He is like a bad pro wrestler. He's a Conor wannabe. What made Conor so great early in his career is that it was part of his personality turned up to 100. How do these fighters not understand that trash talk is PROMOTION. Interviews are PROMOTION, answering questions is PROMOTION. Its like a commercial about selling your personality, and you better make the most of it. These fighters need to understand that's what will make you money. Once you get a relationship with the crowd, they will not care about your win/loss record. If they think people just want to watch a fight, that ain't gonna sell. They want to know your background, they want to know your fighting style, schools you went to, fighters you know, PROMOTE it all. This is why something as fake as wrestling finds success, they make you care about the person with endless promotions and presentations. If its just fighting, you'd be on world star making nothing. Yeah, this is selling out, but you need money doing something this dangerous.

Funny how some UFC fighter's don't know their boxing. Duran was clearly the better fighter between he and Ray Leonard. @DarkArterialGore2 жыл бұрын
Sugar Ray Leonard skill wise was much better than Duran who was more of a grinding slugger brawler so I think you should re-watch the second fight between the two to reevaluate your deluded opinion on Leonard who was one of the most technically skilled boxers in the history of the sport. While Duran was a beloved and fun fighter you can't honestly say he was a better boxer than Leonard just because he has more "pro" fights when half of them were against bums back in Panama while Sugar Ray was winning Olympic gold😅 Plus, Leonard beat Hagler & Hearns whom both beat Duran🤐

CRITICIZE by CREATING. In this era of the 21st century, we as a society and as a nation has become habitual to criticize and blame the government for our every problem. We blame the government for corruption, for dry tabs, for load shedding, for illiteracy, for poverty, for unemployment, even for mosquitoes, and many more. The reason behind it is that we live in a democratic country, whose constitution gives us some fundamental rights for the expression of our thoughts, and hence we blame the government. Before blaming the government for our problems, we need to realize our civic responsibilities and duties. We blame the government for illiteracy but first, we need to realize that we are the people who do not send our children to government schools (which provide education, books, and even uniform for free). We blame the government for uncleanliness, dirty roads, and filthy public places but we should think about it who threw the litter. Surely authorities are responsible for daily cleanliness but civilians are responsible for that dirt and uncleanliness when they throw garbage instead of putting it in a dustbin thinking that sweepers are responsible for that mess when they don’t do their duty. We blame the government for territory, but do honor killings ourselves. We blame the government for corruption but we give bribes to police and officials, we use pirated movies, software, and music, we don’t pay taxes, we hide our income during the calculation of income taxes and we prefer to buy exam papers and grades of studying the whole year. Directly or indirectly almost every person is involved in corruption but we have a problem with only corrupt politicians. So, before blaming officials and politicians, we need to correct ourselves and realize our civic responsibilities. 😅
