Igor is No Culinary Expert he mostly eats at Soviet Style Canteen's where the food is the cheapest. Russian's are proud of their 300 varieties of sausage but no one eats it anymore as the contents are unknown and suspect. Perhaps since N Korea are now inside Russia maybe the new varieties will include DOG Meat. LOL !

Well, for this video it is tailored for tourists, and tourism. Typically tourists do not care about that, because they will only be there for a short time, and they are not coming for protests, and just need to mind what they say while there. I felt the same way in the United Kingdom. I believe that more people in the United Kingdom are arrested by saying things online than people in Russia, now.

I feel every country has interesting locations and most people in any given country live their lives. Yes Russia large but so is Canada and USA, Australia. I like the old Russian architecture and some of pompous Stalin era stuff. The language and literature is interesting. In general travel warning by the State Department exist because of current higher than normal risks natural disasters, instability, terrorist activity, laws which don’t align with democracy and freedom of speech the list goes on. In such countries I don’t travel as long as the potential danger exists. That has nothing to do with the past. I want a nice vacation/visit and not potential issue whatever origin
