When the Prophet 5 REV was announced I immediately ordered one... I had wanted one since 1985 when I saw one in a local shop on its side although seeing Bryan Ferry playing one on the Jealous Guy video back in the day was probably my earliest memory. Was lucky to get mine after the faulty resistor issue was discovered on the filter (I think all P5's with serial numbers up to #200 were affected and some were fixed just before leaving the factory... not sure on the exact details there?). I remember spending a few weeks wondering what was going on with tuning as my vintage knob was not having much of an effect either... as soon as I found the calibration routine and ran it a few times it seemed to settle and the vintage knob started to work...

Great information - I think you covered it very thoroughly and understandably. You know, it’s odd that the new P5 /10 have had such bad tuning issues. I’ll say this, my P5 rev3.3 is rock solid in its tuning over the last 29 years - so is my P600. Calibrate well once, and it’s stays that way - hit tune after a sufficient warmup and they’re good to go. Love SCI synths.
