Someone already did actually, and they did a MUCH better job than Stephanie Meyer ever could. They even wrote the entire series in Edward’s POV YEARS before Stephanie came out with the rest of midnight sun, which I refuse to buy or read. If you want much better quality writing and a much better storyline, as well as writing that is actually true to the character’s personality, then I recommend you google “Twilight: The Missing Pieces”, and it’s the entire series and more, all in Edward’s POV! I’m thoroughly convinced that when this series gained popularity, about two three ago (after already being out for almost a decade), Stephanie Meyer saw that and wanted a piece of the profit. She can’t even find a basic editor to remove grammatical errors... so seriously. Give this ARTIST and TRUE WRITER the recognition that they deserve for this kind of story. Stephanie may have created it, but the fans made it what it is... especially since it was literally based off of a wet dream she had. Yeah. Read the better version, please.

This isn’t exactly correct. As a human, Rosalie adored being beautiful and constantly praised. She was absolutely content with her life. When she became a vampire, she was at first pleased to have her already striking beauty enhanced even further. However, after a while she began to blame her beauty for what happened to her. Now as an immortal, Rosalie would trade absolutely anything to be human again, including her family, her husband, and her beauty.

@zlatkajupe In the book, Rosalie kills her attackers without spilling a drop of blood because she doesn't want to be tempted to drink their blood, so her wedding dress would not have any blood on it. Plus, they didn't attack her while she was wearing her wedding dress, so the dress wouldn't have been soiled from that. Rosalie puts on her wedding dress after becoming a vampire and then carefully attacks them without bloodshed.

Rosalie was a fierce fighter when provoked. I’m still annoyed they screwed up the camera/lighting work during the filming of Eclipse and that’s why we never got to see Rosalie fight in that battle against Victoria’s newborn army. The actress had trained for it and did her scenes and then it was unusable due to the poor quality.

@@asinine8143 That literally brings me to why I said what I said.. If you read what I said properly, I said that Rosalie wasn’t jealous of Bella and Edward’s RELATIONSHIP.. I feel sympathetic for her because not only was she right about what she said to and about Bella but she wants the very thing Bella doesn’t know how to appreciate.. The writers try to paint Bella in a good light because she’s the main character but if you really pay attention, she’s very ungrateful and is pretty much ok with putting their family in dangerous situations.. That makes her 100% selfish.. Love may conquer hate but one who is selfless would never put many people in danger over one person.. So if everyone is ok with Bella willing to put people in danger over a man, then everyone should be ok with Rosalie putting one person in danger over a child.. She’s been hinting since the day she met her that Bella was only with Edward for transformation.. Anyone who has common sense should be able to see that.. That’s literally the only logic reason why Bella didn’t go for Jacob.. Because he knew he couldn’t change her like Edward could.. Bella didn’t deserve half the shit she got after putting everyone through that.. Edward even said it himself that everyone would be in danger if they moved forward with their relationship.. The attachment Jacob and her felt for each other only stemmed from Jacob being destined to imprint on Renesme, Bella's daughter. So that point of yours is already invalid. And yes, Rosalie was slightly jealous that Edward chose Bella because he never showed any interest in Rosalie. Rosalie has always been an extremely conceited person, hating Bella for "throwing away" her humanity when in reality Bella only wanted it so she could stay with Edward forever instead of eventually growing old and dying while he's still physically 17.

At the same time Rosalie was cold towards Bella it was her that Bella asked for help when she found out she was pregnant. It was as if Bella knew that she could trust Rosalie despise all the hatred she felt from her. That was a defining moment for this two characters, they learned to love each other and to protect the baby. I believe that Renesme is going to be loved and protected by those two...

Rosalie is my favourite character in twilight (or maybe also my favourite character in general). Even though she is just a minor character in both the books and movies, her backstory alone makes her one of the strongest characters I've ever seen ... the fact that she went through something so traumatic, but sought revenge in such a satisfying and iconic way (I mean, a wedding dress ... her mind!) and also found happiness again with Emmett, makes her so strongminded ♥ Sure she still isn't completely happy, but to even trust a man again after such a terrible assault and have such a physical relationship with him, is truly remarkable to me. That's why I think her story is very empowering. I wish the movies would've included how smart she actually is ... Rosalie isn't just a blonde vampire barbie, she is an engineer and even studied business, medicine and astrophysics! Or that she's the only vampire that never tasted human blood, because she was so repulsed by her attackers that she didn't want their blood inside of her. That's why I think Rosalie deserves her own spin-off, whether it's a book or a movie or maybe a mini-series? I don't care, I just need Rosalie content :D

And I actually don't even mind Bella as a character, she has a lot of strengths and is a very selfless and caring character but I think she is way too "perfect" and "flawless". Rosalie on the other hand has plenty of flaws, and I don't mean that in a bad way at all, the flaws that she has are very understandable like her being shallow and selfish because of how her parents raised her, her desperate need to be in control because control was taken away from her by her r*pists, her rudeness to Bella that comes from wanting to protect her family, etc. Rosalie's flaws make her a very human character, which is clearly ironic. I think even more human than Bella, the actual human character. And I think if there was an entire book or movie about Rosalie, maybe readers would've understood better that Rosalie isn't just a total bitch but actually a very flawed and imperfect person who was hurt in the past and just wants to make sure she and her loved ones are never hurt again (oh well, or at least that's how I'd interpret her character, who knows what Stephenie thinks :D) I think that Bella wanted to be a beautiful vampire because she felt insecure next to the Cullens and wanted to be "beautiful enough" for Edward, so I think being with him is still her first priority. However I agree that there is a double standard between Rosalie and Bella. Doesn't Edward say stuff like "How does Bella not know how beautiful she is?" when he literally judges Rosalie for knowing how beautiful she is? Liking the way you look doesn't automatically make someone shallow, it's called having a healthy self-esteem. I'll also never understand how Edward calls Rosalie - a literal r*pe victim who at one point blamed her beauty for what happened to her - shallow. Shouldn't he be glad that his sister learns to love and accept herself again after such a terrible attack?

And even though Edward told her more than enough how beautiful she is, I can see why Bella, who was always overlooked her entire life, might have trouble believing that. So I don't think it's that simple. That being said, I definitely think that Bella romanticizes being a vampire a lot. Probably because she was neglected so much and barely had any friends, being a perfect vampire might have been her way to finally feel "powerful" or "worthy". I think Rosalie has a much better viewpoint about being a vampire because she sees that it isn't all perfect and that you have to make many sacrifices.

Either you didn’t pay attention to the movies or read the book because you are way off base. Yes as a human Rosalie wanted to be married, have children and grow old with her husband. However she would probably be a bit upset with losing her beauty because it was a huge part in shaping her personality, life, relationships with others, friends, and the people she dated. Plus her father used her beauty to help get things he wanted and to enhance his standing at work. Even her fiancé used her beauty to make himself look better and make his friends jealous. Throughout the movies and books Rosalie has been portrayed as a spoiled brat who throws temper tantrums when she doesn’t get what she wants or thinks she deserves. After she changed into a vampire she wasn’t attracted to Edward and after seeing and overhearing conversations where Edward made it quite clear that he wasn’t interested in or attracted to her as a mate or anything other then a sister and he didn’t even really want that either. She was beyond insulated by his reaction because she had never been rejected or spurned by any male person or vampire. She has held that grudge for almost 70+ years. She has made their daily life before she found Emmett and even afterward because unlike everyone else she couldn’t be bothered to follow their example of how they kept themselves busy by reading, learning new things or skills taking college classes, enjoying a hobby, watching a movie or something on the tv. She had to be entertained by one or more of the family members. I think that you misunderstood Bella by what you stated about her not wanting to grow old and lose her beauty. First Bella was so in love with Edward that she was willing to give up her life to save him. (Which she did multiple times: With James, with Victoria, in Italy with the Valari , and again a few times in Breaking Dawn.) Edward didn’t want to change her because he hated being a vampire (As did the rest of his family members) and considered himself a monster and and undeserving of love. He didn’t want to kill her and he had it in his head that he would stay with her as long as possible while keeping her human and as long as she wanted him in her life or until she died of old age. Bella didn’t think that he would find her attractive as she got older and lost the beauty he saw in her because Bella didn’t think she was pretty/beautiful or anything else Edward told her nor did she know or realize that the other male students found her extremely beautiful/attractive. She didn’t like the idea of her being physically older than him especially after he agreed to change her. He was 17 and she wanted to be 17 too. Bella never cared about how she looked and she didn’t do anything to try and enhance how she looked to others. Minimal makeup if she even wore any at all. She didn’t do much with her hair and many times it was still damp when she left the house. She would brush her hair and either put it in a ponytail or left it loose to kinda hide behind it as she was shy, awkward, and clumsy and didn’t enjoy being the center of attention or doing anything that could draw attention towards her because she had been bullied throughout her life back in Arizona. Bella never felt like she fit in with the human world which didn’t help when moving in your junior year of high school and having to be the new kid half way through the year. Her father being Sheriff meant everybody knew who she was before she arrived. Not a great situation for someone like Bella.

For example Bella was willing to loose all contact with her family and friends and was willing to make them all worried because of a guy that she knows for a year. Bella also gave Jacob mixed signals and she didn’t cut all contact with him even though she knew that having Jacob around hurt him. But Rosalie on the other she did some selfless things. She was willing to give up her beauty just to have kids and a family of her own. And the reason she was angry at Bella when she first met her was because she wanted to protect her family because if The Volturi knew that a human knows about Vampires all of The Cullens would be in danger. And I can completely understand why she was jealous of Bella.

Never read the books and never will. I've watched the movies when they came out but I'm not a fan. The movies are from silly to bad and I mostly like watching KZbin videos of people making fun of this saga. But one positive thing I have to say about anything Twilight is that I've always found Rosalie, Emmett, Alice, and Jasper to be the entertaining and interesting ones.

Agreed. Same here. I just watch people reactions on KZbin because their funny and horribly acted films with cringe story telling. The only sad thing is we never got any depth into the other characters like Carlise,Alice,Emmett,Rosalie,and Esme's backstories which were far more interesting. The only thing I know about Emmett is that he was turned by Rosalie after an animal attack that mauled him.

When I read Twilight I thought Rosalie was just every other stuck up pretty girl but I did find her interesting. New Moon made me realize that she probably had some really good reason for not wanting Bella to become a vampire. Then Eclipse happened and I felt so bad for her and totally saw why she wouldn’t want Bella to be a vampire. And her reason for becoming a vampire is so sad and unfair 😭😭 She just wanted to have a happy normal life with a husband and kids and it was all taken away from her when she was just a teenager. I am so happy she found Emmet though. They are great and a very underrated couple.

This video made no point, it’s just as dry on her backstory as the movie. She wasn’t “attacked”, she was raped. Her fiancé and his friends (like 6 or 7 men) were drunk when she walked by. He pulled her close and they started tossing her around, playing with her like a thing. Then they took turns raping her. She was so brutalized from the abuse and from fighting back that she was almost dead when Carlisle found her. Turning her was her only chance at survival. And her biggest problem with Bella is that she’s giving up her humanity, because all Rosalie ever wanted was to be a mother; she wanted a baby and a family and Bella is just giving it all up. That’s why she saves Emmet (who’s curls reminded her of her friend’s baby) and that’s why she becomes Bella’s bodyguard during the pregnancy. She’s just desperate to hold a baby in her arms and she knows how blinding young love can be.

The thing that bugged me so bad about the series was they made Jasper out to be extremely weak that he could barely be around Bella because he was so new and couldnt fight the smell of blood but he went to school all day. How many teens are in any given high school? So he could fight it at school easily around hundreds of teens and teachers but Bella at his house was too much? Didnt make much sense to me.

If you want much better quality writing and a much better storyline, as well as writing that is actually true to the character’s personality, then I recommend you google “Twilight: The Missing Pieces”, and it’s the entire series and more, all in Edward’s POV! I’m thoroughly convinced that when this series gained popularity, about two three ago (after already being out for almost a decade), Stephanie Meyer saw that and wanted a piece of the profit. She can’t even find a basic editor to remove grammatical errors... so seriously. Give this ARTIST and TRUE WRITER the recognition that they deserve for this kind of story. Stephanie may have created it, but the fans made it what it is... especially since it was literally based off of a wet dream she had. Yeah. Read the better version, please.

I've always found her backstory really disturbing. She gets raped (they don't SAY that, but I believe it's HEAVILY implied) and then, when all she wants to do is die after that brutal attack, and along comes Carlisle.... forcing her to live FOREVER. Even giving him credit for saving her life which was overall a good thing, he still basically fang raped her. She did NOT want what he was offering, she did not consent to having her life (now barren of the possibility of the ONE THING she wanted out of life) stretched on to CENTURIES. So LIFETIMES of living with the attack in her head, and lifetimes of watching OTHER WOMEN have what she never can. I think it was a cruel, narsasstic thing that Carlisle did, assuming HE knows what the best choice to help this poor woman was, without knowing anything about her.

If Rosalie was so deep in love with Emmett, I seriously doubt she’d be jealous that Edward loved Bella. Sure, it took time for her to heal after the initial rejection. Being loved so fully by Emmett and vice versa is what she always wanted. But it definitely makes sense that Rosalie was jealous of Bella’s human life and angry that Bella was willing to give up all the possibilities. Initially, I didn’t like Rosalie, but her backstory made things clear. She’s definitely one of the best characters!

I happened to read the books before I watched the movies and Rosalie's story struck me the most. The way it was described in the book makes you feel sorry for her, bc all she ever wanted from life was a family and living in peace with loving husband and children. She wanted so little and even that was taken away from her in such a cruel way. Also, I was surprised by the choice of the actress who played her. I always imagined Rosalie as an elfin, blonde beauty. In my opinion, better choice for her would be Dakota Fanning. Nikki done terrific job and she is a good actress but too much femme fatale type for this role.

Very good explanation!!!! I personally would have loved to see more of her past and a movie solely about her would be incredible. She is definitely portrayed as a mean character but in reality she's constantly left with no choice but to fight her true desires a.k.a. being a human and a mother. I'm really glad they did explain more about her in Eclipse. She does have her reasons for the way she is and I understand her instincts to protect her family. If we factor in that she has had the same members in her family for as long as she has I think anybody would feel apprehensive and untrusting and just not very into the idea of a new permanent member. It definitely does stem from jealousy in the way that she wants to be human and believes bella is ungrateful basically for wanting to throw that away. As far as jealousy over Edward being attracted and in love with Bella instead of her I feel that's definitely more vanity based than true emotions. She's only ever known to be adored and envied. Regarding her reasoning behind not liking Bella she's just blatantly unable to see and understand Bella's true reasons aside from never wanting to be without Edward. I think her eyes were very much opened once Bella was changed and became pregnant there was no denying Bella's true intentions and feelings. I feel they've grown close in that time because they both understood and bonded on wanting to be mothers. Very special character I'm really happy with how well Nikki brought her to life.

But Ig Bellas story was very boring I but had a lot of interesting things happen to her in a short amount of time from being human falling in love with a vampire, falling in love with a wear wolf, having crazy hundred year old vampires hunt her, having a hybrid child, and becoming a foe against her Valtteri. That’s a lot to happen to one girl in such a short amount of time and it is very interesting.

I think Stephanie Meyer actually cheapened Rosalie’s character in Midnight Sun by making all of her thoughts vain and arrogant. She even acted repulsed at the idea of Edward falling in love with a human. That doesn’t match her yearning to become human again herself. Rose deserved better than both the books and the movies.

I never thought Rosalie actually hated Bella, I got the feeling that she seriously mistrusted her because of how easily she accepted giving up her humanity in her desire to be turned when she really knew nothing about life or what she was actually giving up. When you look at it from Rosalie's perspective all of her family had been turned when in situations where they had only two choices death or becoming a vampire and Bella wasn't in dire straits she just wasn't interested in her life's potentials which I think extremely annoyed and frustrated Rosalie who never had a chance of those possibilities. I could always sympathize with Rosalie's irritation with Bella because I know of all the characters in the films she's the one that most irked the crap out of me, the books however to a lesser degree.
