Nice interview. I'm an advocate for people traveling to Tanzania 🇹🇿. I can say I have never had any problems with a language barrier in Tanzania. Granted I've only been to dar es salaam and Zanzibar. Also if anyone wanted to learn an African language swahilli is supposed to be the easiest to learn for English speaking people. I haven't been to Uganda yet but was planning to until covid stopped my plans. Stay blessed 🤲🏾🙏🏾

I didn't know kiswahili the time I came here but now I know the language just because my friends Swahili people have taught me. Now I know kiswahili which is the language spoken in all East African countries from Congo, Rwanda, Burundi Uganda and Kenya. So lastly I can say I feel like am part of East African citizen. Young people definitely must learn trades that can be used in Africa besides opening restaurants/ clothing stores. Africa needs infrastructure and experienced medical staff. Also, as this gentleman states learn about political system, culture, healthcare, and to speak the language. Visit several times prior, save a substantial amount of money, and have a plan. It takes major skills and money to live anywhere in this world.

I am glad you said younger people. The reality is that most Black Americans who can afford to move are of retirement age. I applaud the efforts of those who go and put in the work...But from my trips across Africa and my 20 years in the US Air Force the standard of living must be raised for the average African...Everyone cannot start a business, also everyone will not be able to export everything for sale. You must have local consumers to make any business work, what Africa needs is good middle class jobs not more side hustles....Most locals in Africa do not have that kind of money to spend and service jobs will not fix that..Also Africans must be in charge of Africa they must own Africa and only they have the power to change that....The one lesson that I learned is that we Black people in the USA may think of Africa as home...But our family there sees us as foreigners no matter how well versed you are in the culture. Africa will be ready for all it's children to come home but today is not that day yet...Free Africa

Why Uganda to the diaspora? My answer is that the way money circulates in Uganda is far better than the other three East African countries. So, when you come with a better investment plan in whichever sector that deals in the five basic needs of life (that is, food & water, healthcare, education, housing among others) then you'll have it right. Fastest growing economy if you know what you what with a better plan then you'll boom with the economy. Forget about the bad energy from the other political parties and "some called issues of democracy" If you do this, then Uganda will be your place in development. And when you boom in Uganda, then it can be easy for you to expand your enterprise to the other three East African countries. That's my little advice

This is so true. We still have to eat. Former President Carter worked with peanut farmers in Uganda and elsewhere. Even former ambassador Young once commented that Uganda could feed the entire continent of Africa if the govt invested in modern technologies instead of using the hoe. He was right. I don't know anything that doesn't grow in Uganda.
@ronniewamala57683 жыл бұрын
@@sarahtn912 So true, Uganda is blessed with fertile soil, i remember visiting my grandma in the village, being a child we used to play, eat fruits and scatter the seeds all over the compound, a few months later the seeds were blossoming trying to grow so Uganda is certainly capable of feeding many Nations, it's such a shame we have selfish greedy people running the country but if they invested more in modern agriculture tools and tech, the country's GDP would shoot up within a few years. The good news there's a young multimillionaire by the name of Ham kigundu , he is currently building Agro processing plants in Bwebajja, once complete these projects are going to be very beneficial for small and big scale farmers because they will have a direct market for their produce and can easily expand.

Dude Uganda is literally one of the worst places on earth. The country is extremely undeveloped and poor. I am from Uganda.

One man's garbage is another man's treasure It's so much opportunities in Uganda and the whole of Africa for the matter if you're a businessman opportunities that you will NEVER find in Amerikkka My old college buddy moved to Tanzania from Pennsylvania last year and he said that he's never coming back he's making 5x the money that he was using in PA exporting goods to Europe, UAE and the US You brother have a negative mindset!
