Why Ukrainian and Israeli airspace can't be defended the same way by allies

Why can't Ukraine receive the same protection from Russian drones that was afforded to Israel by the UK and US last week?
This question has not been lost on President Zelensky who certainly believes Ukraine deserves the same level of protection that was afforded to the Middle Eastern nation that was attacked by over 300 Iranian drones.
The aerial attack was thwarted with the help of the Royal Air Force, the US Air Force and other nations.
But why can't two important conflicts be given the same treatment when facing drone attacks?

Israel has been an ally of US for a long time. +US wants Russian oil, so they will defend Ukraine only to a certain point. I wouldn’t say that US is afraid of Russia though. GDP of USA was 25.44 trillion in 2022 GDP of Russia was 2.24 trillion in 2022

Really, anyone who wants to know the answer should just watch the 1st episode of the docuseries "The Devil Next Door" When John Demjanjuk was being accused of what he did, the Ukrainian community said what they said in defence. It is very well documented in that series, in the 1st episode. At least Germany said sorry for what they did and don't deny it. That is also why you don't see any statues in Germany of those who ruled during WW2, but you can't say the same for Ukraine. Statues of their "heroes" standing in Kropyvnytskyi square, Lviv. How can they do that and expect help from Israel?

Israel and Ukraine last week signed up a new treaty. It is not weaponry yet. And with those in my country who don't want to become enemy of Russia we will deal by ourselves. Thank you And there are many people in Israel that don't want putin to succeed. Since are many Jews and non Jews from former soviet union, and Russian federation. Zelensky is right to ask the question as to why its allies are failing to do for Ukraine what they prove able to do for Israel. The 'technical' difference rationale offered in this video, does not persuade. NATO jets could be located in the string of NATO states bordering Ukraine and Russia, and are already flying missions over the Black Sea. Shooting down missiles over Ukraine, is not an aggressive escalation against Russia, is not per se an attack on Russia. Again, air protection assets could be located in those NATO states, and could take down missiles over Ukrainian airspace, without involving direct confrontation with Russia. Bottom line. Zelensky is right in asking this question. Just why are we doing for Israel what we fail to do for Ukraine. The US answer in this video, was just a jumble of plausible abstractions; again. not persuasive. Leave the Ukrainians to focus their assts on kinetic confrontation with Russia. Take some of the weight of air defence off of Ukrainian shoulders.

That doesn't make any sense. How far do you think Air defense missiles really go? They don't go very far. NATO aircrafts would have to fly deep inside Ukraine close to Russian facilities, and puts the aircrafts in danger zones of Russian air defense systems. That scenario would gradually drag NATO into the conflict .

The major reason why Israel will not supply the Iron Dome system to the Ukraine is simple - Russia holds 600,000 Jews as hostages in Russia. It has prevented all but a few from leaving Russia to emigrate to Israel since the start of the conflict and has made their lives difficult with religious persecution and financial insecurity just like it did back in USSR times, it has also disproportionally conscripted Jews to fight in the Ukraine as another method preventing Jews from attempting to leave.

Another things.... Israel has VERY strong air-force - much stronger even to comparison to existing Russian air force. Virtually all drones and cruise missiles were shut down outside Israeli air-space by aircraft. And most of them by Israeli air-force. Ukraine has very limited number of fighter aircraft that have far less capable sensors (like FLIR) and vast larger territory to defend. Have Ukraine got promised F-16s and munitions in significant numbers the situation would be way better.
