Why Upgrade to QuickBooks Enterprise from Pro/Premier

I will upgrade a few PCs to QB Enterprise from Pro. Anyone knows if the upgrade is simple and done via in-place upgrading (from pro to enterprise) or does it need to first uninstall the QB Pro then install the QB Enterprise. The concern is all the add-ons that are currently on the Pro edition, and naturally the question arises what will happen to these add-ons when enterprise gets installed. thanks

Hello - my business is a group of healthcare practices. I don't manager patient accounts or any inventory. I'm thinking of switching to Quickbooks Enterprise because I have multiple company files and about 100 employees. I am interested in the multi-company reporting, and the enhanced user security features. I am hesitant about going from a one-time purchased license to a subscription service. The rep that I've been dealing with is telling me that it will be cheaper because i'm paying 1.75 per direct deposit right now, we pay twice a month. I'm really on the fence about switching and feel like I need some advice.
