QuickBooks Desktop discontinuation... will QuickBooks Online be required in 2024?

I watched another video where that accountant said no more enhanced payroll after July 31, 2024. He said you'd have to go to online but you can get a stand alone just for payroll. All I use is desktop payroll for my office. It sounded like you said one can continue using enhanced payroll after July 31, 2024. You do explain things very clearly, which I really appreciate!

I purchased a 2024 Desktop and almost immediately began receiving the alerts!! It said that I needed to purchase a subscription. I am so confused and quite upset. I don't use payroll, but I do use the file transfer feature

Thank you for this video. I have QB Desktop 2021 non subscription based and I use the payroll feature, but manually. Will I still have access to manual payroll after 5/31/24 without upgrading to 2024? Thank you in advance for your reply.
