For the 3 link long arms on my rig I went with heim joints everywhere but the Barnes crossmember. I went with offset enduro joints there to keep the joint at 0 misalignment. It would have already been misaligned with a heim. I would have preferred a heim but it is what it is. Definitely think enduro joints are great joints. They replicate Johnny joints that have been around for years and years. Like you’ve said. All depends on what your purpose and use is for your rig. Both great choices. Great video!

Yea man! I like heims too. But the long arm kit came with the enduro’s and they have always done well. But it’s got a heim in the front now!

Very informative video! I am not a jeepster.. i have a 2018 4runner.. with the king suspension..my hiem joints at the bottom of the suspension are squeaking like crazy.. they did last over 5 years!! But my suspension is in need of a rebuild now.😅 Ive been bandaiding the sqeaking with white lithium grease.. which has been ok thus far.. but i cannot wait till my suspension gets rebuilt..

That’s awesome! Sounds like an awesome rig! I hope to build a 4Runner or an old Tacoma one day soon.

I’m planning on doing Heims on the axle end and Johnny joints on the frame end of my 4x4 El Camino build. Hoping that has plenty of strength and flex, while reducing daily driving noise in the cab.

You have to seat the bottom of the snap ring in the groove. Take a flat head screw driver on the inside edge of the snap ring and hit a few times with a hammer until it's fully seated in the groove.

Yup. I’m well aware. I have other enduro joints on my rig. They all have worked fine…but that one just kept falling apart. No matter what.

My enduro did the same thing clunking like crazy all the way back to the trailer.

Man that happens. They are generally quieter. But it happens. Bummer.

For sure. But if you maintain them they are silent. You have to put oil on the seals. Tri flow makes a great oil for them.

I like the "enduro joints" that screw the cap in and dont use a C-clip

I have never ran those! But I have heard about them. Pretty cool idea.

Which long arm set up are you running? I’m looking at Barnes4wd front and rear 3 link and pairing anti rocks with it.

I used their kit with I swapped to my one ton axles. It works well. Some minor issues with their brackets out of the box. Things like bolt holes not being drilled out to the correct size, wrong misalignment spacers, etc. but it works well once I got it all sorted.

I don’t see a point in the anti rocks. I run factory sway bars and just disconnect the front. It works perfect and it’s WAY cheaper.

@@WarPaintOffroad cool, maybe I’ll do the 3 link set up then first. I just read online there was rear swaying and that it was resolved with anti rock. I’ll maintain the factory ones and if needed will upgrade.

@@hunterwhitworth1271 yea I don’t have any issue with my rear swaying. It’s been great. No binding at all so it just flexes effortlessly. It’s really nice. It’s definitely not the same on road, but I have no reason to change anything out at this point. It’s not drastic enough that someone who doesn’t normally drive in a jeep would even notice if they took it for a ride on day.
