Christianity didn't come under the same scrutiny as Islam did. Islam was examined and harshly critiqued ever since its inception.

I didn't say that Islam has had a reformation, I said that Islam has been harshly critiqued ever since it's inception. I suggest you learn to read. Also, regarding those books that say the Qur'an contradicts itself, they're flat out wrong. I know from actually having read the Qur'an myself.

Hmm, calling people "moderate muslims" or "enlightend muslims" might imply that the ideology can be followed in a moral way.

That is extremely well put. There has been a lot of comparison of the christian crusades to modern muslim jihads. Eventually the reasonable people in the muslim countries will have to takes maters into their hands and do what was done in Europe if they wish to end the abuse that religious fanatics and their followers perpetrate on innocent people.

The premise is flat-out misleading. In the first place, the word Radical is derived from the Latin radicalis, which simply means "Of the roots." It is not an indication of violent behavior , and neither is the term fundamentalist. The Prophet Abraham from the Christian/Islamic faith didn't advocate the convert or die ideology. According to Biddle's logic then, Abraham was a moderate! What nonsense!

I checked a few of the verses you listed, and they show that your reading comprehension skills are terrible. Regarding who is the first Muslim, the first is referring to a person of a given group. Moses was the first in his, Mohammed was the first in his, Abraham was the first in his, etc.. Regarding how long it took to destroy the Ad people, 54:19 doesn't say that they were wiped out on that day, it says the disaster started on that day. No contradiction again.
