Two-node Camera in After Effects made me look dumb since I am always having my camera do do what it wasn't supposed to. Thanks for the tip.

You've done some videos in the past that showcases how powerful one node cameras work. You got me to change!

even if it’s two node or one node it’s best to just parent the 3D camera to a null object and enable 3D mode on the null

hey i have seen people recommending null for camera..but never tells the main reason behind it..can u help me with that even though I'm new i have used both
@DoorGunnerDcsWorld8 ай бұрын
@@fastestfckboi it’s simpler to use than the camera

You can’t use camera controls with a null, so I prefer not using nulls
@DoorGunnerDcsWorld7 ай бұрын
@@MotionScience you can, if you make the null 3d then yes

It seems so obvious to me. I still don't understand, why adobe keeps this feature, whereras we still can orientate the camera with rotation properties...The best way to create silly camera moves !!! Btw, thanks for all the job you do :)

Well, no, to get the same results on a 1 node camera, you would have to add key frames to the rotation as well.

It's like showing a bowl of soup and saying eating with a fork is wrong, you should eat with a spoon, because it's more efficient. It depends on the use cases. You eat pasta, fork helps, you eat soup, spoon is good.

I've often heard that linking your camera to a null is beneficial. Have you ever had to do this?
@ahmedsuleiman1130 Жыл бұрын
Null layer is good to use as well if one parent the camera to the null layer.
@MotionScience Жыл бұрын
Some motion designers like to do this. I prefer not to. My workflow is to look through the camera and set keyframes where I want the camera to be be positioned.

Could you not make the argument that being able to parent the poi to an object is easier. In addition to that with a one-node cam you still need to rotate the camera so it's the same amount of keys you have to manage?
