For comparison: Senegal and Singapore got their independence at around the same time (1960 and 1959) and were in a similiar economic situation. Now one is one of the richest countries in the world, the other is one of the poorest. All thanks to socialism.

Colombians are known worldwide for being hired as assassins! Colombians invented guerrilla warfare, and when it comes to fighting in the jungle no one beats the Colombians! Former Guerrilla groups are having a hard time adjusting to civilian life and many are being hunted for their crimes. Imagine just a border away Venezuela or Guyana hiring Colombians to fight in their War! Rebels will take up Arm to fight for Venezuela whom Colombia still has issues with, Colombia and Venezuela are always fighting, now with Venezuela calling for an invasion of Guyana, the former Rebels will come to either aid Venezuela or Guyana making the peace agreement between The Colombia Government and Rebel Forces so much harder! The invasion of Guyana could spark another Civil War in Colombia, tension are already running high, and I know for a fact that Colombians Rebels will play a part in the invasion! I fear what effects the Invasion of Guyana will have on my people! Colombians will come to aid and it will be War all over again for the Colombian people, my people!

@VincitOmniaVeritas7 Жыл бұрын
I honestly don’t believe they have the resources: the disputed border is covered with jungles and mountains, there are no roads that go through (it’s actually faster go around, through Brazil). Not to mention that Venezuela barely has food for its troops. I can see they trying a small amphibious attack or sieging Guiana’s capital with a naval blockade. However, we know how in shambles their navy is, and it wouldn’t be too hard for a larger power to project power in the region to dissuade the Venezuelans to try anything through sea.
@mirceazaharia2094 Жыл бұрын
If Brazil does that, and they don't want Venezuela to seize Guyana's offshore oil fields and rigs, they have to invest money and military resources into ensuring Guyana's security in the medium to long term. At least until Guyana can afford to defend itself, or gain some deterrence capability.

I have family in South America and thus is the reason why I keep track of the majority of their news sources. Brazil, on many occasions, has vowed to invade Venezuela IF the war starts with Guyana. Thus, putting Venezuela's pledge for war, as that countries possible downfall. Because Brazil's military is, at least, 60% larger, better equipped, and with better training. Regardless if fighting breaks out: North America, China, and the EU should stay out of this conflict. They already have caused too many problems around the world.

I would love to see Guyana back to where it belongs, but if that means suporting the actions of our corrupt regime then i can't just stand for it. Guayana Esequiba is precious, but the people and the country itself should never be forgotten no matter the circumstances. I wanna point too that actually there was an attempt during the time Guyana got independence with the 1966 Geneva Agreement, which declared the territory cannot be used to benefit any of the sides. Guyana broke this with sending companies to extract oil, which gave our government to revive the claim (along with the reasons you mentioned). Nonetheless I wanna thank you for talking about this topic with a brief but easy explanation. Your videos are pretty cool.
