Since I'm sure there are people out there wondering what a "vertical AI agent" is, basically that's corporate speak for "specialized AI". You have "general AI" that can attempt to answer your questions on any topic under the sun (think ChatGPT or Claude), "mid-level AI" that attempts to corner the market on a broad category like "news" or "sports" (think Perplexity's news aggregator or Twitter's hate maker), and then you have "specialized AI" trained on public data for one industry (like the stock market) or private internal data (like the GPTs inside of ChatGPT). "Vertical" is how psychopathic corporate CEOs weed out regular people in the same way the Italian mobsters in every movie you've ever seen refer to their trade as "our thing".

Great breakdown of the AI landscape! I love how you explained ‘vertical AI agents’-clear and spot on. That ‘mobster’ analogy gave me a good laugh too! It’s true, specialized AI is all about narrowing the focus to be super effective in specific areas, and the way companies use it definitely sparks some interesting debates. Thanks for sharing your perspective!☺️
