After inspired by your Leo review, commenting here ,This was a good movie and has many positives...The mistakes you mentioned seems that you too much checking the logic in movies. 1.Of course this is a revenge story,And it was crafted well, Nobody will openly accept that Im revenging on that person,Some other reason they will tell to shadow the truth . 2.Since this a secret agent movie ,We cant expect characters to interact each other often..Take the case of Bourne Identity as example . 3.First half could have been reduced,Showing Kamal sir as bad guy in the first half and then revealing as a good person in intermission was literally a Game changer ...and much more to say.

My say about this film's success is just "JUST" bcos big names in this movie.... For eg.., Just imagine what you will do if that unmasking scene performed by some other unfamiliar actor or new face actor. There will be no theatre bursting situation right? Well no. As this guy says "character arc" or character depth is really important Let me explain same Lokesh kanagaraj directed a movie "Maanagaram" In that movie everyone screamed for that "ennada strength kaatriya" scene in climax in that scene we have been already told about the character strength, weakness,mental state,his past, his conscience,his mentality about people in chennai, his innocence his everything... So we all know what he is so we screamed at that point Same for all characters that driver,sudeep kishan and even for that villan gang So Lokesh just used big names and hides his flaws in this movie.. that's what a clueless director will do if there is no strong plot or story. - cliche story irundha enne, it's ok, most of the stories have a revege motive only (jailer, even leo and master have revenge storyline, it's the execution, mahanadi was one of the best revenge movies of tamil cinema - the unmasking part is important because Fahad instigates him and Fahad motive was to unveil him and reason why Kamal takes out mask though it's a huge risk for their is because of the dialogue that Fahad tells to Kamal "karnan yaarunu therium" So Kamal knew Fahad did his homework and that's why he didn't no away as orinally planned without opening the nask, but now Kamal knows he might have been exposed and he decided ok now I can reveal myself and fight battle in open Analyse pannelam over analyse panna athode entertainment value we won't enjoy but agree with lack of character interaction in vikram and liked the syd field reference, some of kamals movies and maniratnam movies have what syd field talks about that's why they are the writers and directors for now

It's definitely a revenge story's screenplay. Father/Son killed in flashback by villain, Son/Father will take his revenge by killing the villain. In terms of what happened in the screenplay, it is a revenge story, But they covered that with a drug free society motive so that it doesn't look like a cliche story. At the End of the day , it seems like there is an added layer of revenge , to the already 'drug free society' motive . But by judging the screenplay, I think the added layer is 'drug free society' motive for an already existing revenge story.
