I think it's perfect that this reply took two years to get to you, but here is some something from a Virgo man. Him thinking about you meeting his family happened on day one, the fact that he told you about it, that was him opening up to you, at least to some extent. When it comes to the day to day stuff, you can have it one of two ways, we can tell you every nostril flare and finger twitch in the interactions we had in the day, or we can tell you nothing. The in between section doesn't exist. Because if I say "my day was good" but there was a part where I was actually sad, I'll feel like a liar for the rest of the day. When it comes to the interpersonal stuff, we get scared to be like "here is how I see this situation person 1 is a Goober, person 2 is a liar and person 3 is along for the ride" because a girl will turn around and be like "well what if I was person 3 all along?" And the Virgo answer is "well you're along for the ride then, sorry babe". So we just don't say anything. Then finally, when it comes to those cheeky internal feeling things, you might ask "why have you been so angry lately" and my answer is a fully formed one, but it's brutal to hear myself say it out loud to another person, because I can never unsay it. If I tell you "I've defaulted on my car loan, my new job isn't going as well as I'd hoped, I feel emasculated and powerless, and seeing your face is a reminder of how much of a failure I am" you aren't gonna be like "thanks for opening up babe" you're gonna be like "so it's my fault your boss is a bastard is it?" So we skip that and tell you nothing.

From my opinion I don't express my opinion because you have to mean something to me. Otherwise no explanation. Time is energy I can't waste on insignificant persons. I had been with mine for 9 years. In the beginning, I didn't understand his ways and we would always argue and ignore each other. Mainly he ignored me! As we got older, I've realized and he realized that we love each other. He told me we need to understand each other better so we communicate more and I told him ignoring me is signs of immaturity.
