READ HERE PLEASE!🙌🏻 Wanna help me fund raise for this amazing team and get an adventure for life at same time maybe! Then listen closely!😃
You can also easely fund raise by sending money. Just Contact me and I'l explain how. I know how much they will appreciate it 🙌🏻🙏🏻
YOU CAN DONATE FOR THE SOMALI WOMEN HERE: www.paypal.me/...
BUT It's ALSO possible to go with me next year (2024) and meet these girls in Mogadishu and transfer the money personally together with me. Then I will make the perfect adventurous trip in this beautiful and extremely interesting country, you will be able to join 🙌🏻 Sounds interesting right? Going to SOMALIA! 🤩🇸🇴
I have all the right contacts to security, guides and whatever is needed in Somalia for the best, safest but again also the most adventurous and special days you'll ever had!
About the team/girls 🤩:
Somali Women are allowed to play Football now yes! ⚽️ The last 2 years the Muslim country of Somalia has becoming more "open minded" for woman doing sports and also other things, such as being out at nightime enjoying.
Some things change slowly but in a good way I think. So Somali traditions are still very much intact and so interesting.
To make it clear. The trip is not for "everyone". This is after all still Somalia. Its for adventurous and religious open minded people. You need to have respect for other cultures/religion 🙏🏻🇸🇴
I visited The Somali women's Football Club as this team is called. What an experience! These girls really put their hearts into this beautiful game! ❤️ ⚽️ Some of them walk up to 20km just to come for training sessions! 3 times a week! That's how much they want it!
Most of them don't have money for football boots. Some even playing bare feet..
Their balls were really bad condition and they struggle to rent the football ground every week. Their dream is to play on grass one day. Like the men. This is now more like a carpet. But they still enjoy to be able to play of course.
Travel expenses to matches against other teams is also always a big concern for them.
My love for football has been a part of my life since I was a kid. So making these girls have some better conditions to do what they love so much, would be a great pleasure also for me. Especially after meeting the Somali people in their home country. To combine the help to them with a big experience is just a big plus in my adventure mind.

Thank you for your very nice words! I really appreciate it🙌🏻🙏🏻😍 I had a very good time when I was in Somalia and met a lot of friendly people. 🙌🏻🇸🇴 It’s more on social media, they hate a little more. But it’s okay. We can’t agree always. And I’m open minded and try to understand other people’s beliefs etc. especially when I’m in their country. But when it says nothing about in Islam that women can’t play football and people say they shouldn’t, then I don’t understand them. It’s basic human rights to play sports for me ⚽️

Somalia before the 1991 had successful women sports teams! They did great in basketball! One national 🏀 basketball lady was our neighbour who passed away few years ago. Then imported radicals came and stopped all. However they can do sports again as long its between women. The country is slowly regaining its confidence again and rebuilding instutions and socially developing again in a therapeutic way after 30 years of war which left deep scars and generations that missed normality. Great video because i didnt know this female team existed! ✌🏼❤️

Thanks for your words and for telling how things are and was. 🙌🏻🇸🇴 Yes even the first female pilot in Africa was from Somalia I heard. So things must have been a lot different years ago than now. But as you say it seems like the people and the government now want it less radical. I think as you say the small steps are the right way to do it. Like these women who is allowed to play football again and sports in general. They can also go out at night with other females and dates etc. But still many have a lot against it in Somalia. But I think that’s normal when living so radicalised for so many years. I think it’s important they still keep a lot of things like is now for identity , religion etc. but basic human rights like this for females for example is a very good start 🙌🏻

@@ADVENTURE-JONES Generally in Somali culture women play a huge role , example in most small commerce they dominate compared to men . Somali women own way more wealth that are in the diaspora like in Europe and North America and outperform men academically. Socially within Somalia that is lacking behind after decades of social unrest war etc ..but maybe slowly changing which may shock some there . Somalia while keeping it's cultural identity and religious values needs a modern economy where men and women are active education wise , economically and socially. With so much natural resources wealth including oil 🛢️ and gas among many things I hope in the next decades it turns not into a place where culture died off like some Gulf countries.
@ADVENTURE-JONES

Thanks for enlightening. It’s easier to understand things and know how things are when it’s written like that 🙌🏻. When I was there it seemed like everything was slowly evolving and people was hopeful for the future. Mogadishu was in many ways a modern city. But in good way. Not like the other oil countries who lost some of their identity I think.. The country side I guess is still very uneducated of course. ? But yes Somalia would be very rich if they stop fighting and get back to more education etc , like it seemed it was back in time?

@@ADVENTURE-JONES Yes, the rural areas missed on education since the civil war. Before the civil war Somalia had one of the lowest illiteracy rates in Africa due to a campaign in the 70s after independence after socialist government sent thousands of students to rural areas to educate people there. Who knows? It could happen again. Many of Mogadishu roads are built by pure public donations and the stadium and theatre were rebuilt by volunteers in the past few years. In the 70s schools hospitals hotels and more were built through public volunteering. Most of the educated people had left during the civil war or died simply or lost their wealth and influence. The city was literally invaded by people from rural regions which form the majority of the city today and dominate the wealth and politics. It took them decades to grasp an understanding of what the government is and they held the country hostage as they could not get on themselves even . So the city social fabric is totally different to that of pre 1991! It was more mixed socially and balanced clan wise too. Anyone who left at that time would not recognise the city socially or mentality after the rural invasion plus decades of anarchy and destruction The government has started to hire 3000 new teachers as a start to rebuild public schools. Tomorrow Somalia will get debt relief which will make the country attractive for investments again and open to the world 🌍. I'm optimistic that people who migrated to the city post 91 can share the education and skills they gained with the regions they are from because some of those regions may end up being richer than Mogadishu in the future due to natural resources and wealth. I think Federal States regional development competition has started and we will see more of that in the future. I see ports being built without Chinese or foreign money but will local business people money which is very rare in Africa thanks to Somali entrepreneurship culture There is a huge difference between Somalis that left before or shortly after the civil war mentality and those that stayed behind even when they are in Europe they don't mix well at all. Those that left in 90 always dreamed of returning whereas those after just wanted to leave for obvious reasons. Those that left before the war experienced education law and order safety peace , tourist visiting like any civilised place and those after anything but that ! So there is a social divide unfortunately. On top of that you have diaspora born in the west etc that bring a totally different vibe . It will be interesting to see how they mingle in the next few years as peace improves and Somalis from around the world bring languages and cultures from elsewhere and try to influence with culture and skills they gained . Your visit does help change the narrative as you are among the first to visit a country that has gone through more than any country I can think of the last 32 years .

@@ADVENTURE-JONES they are wrong for that, women can and should engage in sporting activities. Islam does not prohibit women from such things, however certain conservative cultures retain their attitudes toward female immodesty. Somalia is actually quite liberal in it's attitude toward women, the ban on female sporting activities was implemented by religious extremists, but to be fair there was never a push for women to engage in sports among women in the first place, it was and still is a fringe activity. I can say most Somalis don't really care one way or the other.

Its true because in the 70 etc it was allowed to. Then “extremist” forbid it. But now government allows women to play sports. But because of that change many men especially have a difficulties to adapt to that. As you see many are angry about it here in the comment sector on this video if you seen some of peoples reaction ? @@ADVENTURE-JONES yeah, government has done very good work in the past year to eliminate Al-shabaab. They are on their last legs. Hopefully, as the security situation changes Somalia, it will open up the country to foreign investment, and Somalia can breather for the first time in more than 30 years. I think you will then begin to see people's attitudes change and women's voices become much much louder. We are at a turning point, and you're documentation of this transition is noteworthy. @ADVENTURE-JONES you are funny - Somali women go to school and universities. They are in parliament . In Somalia more than 35% parliamentarians are women which is a big proportion. I don't know where you are from , regardless could you please tell me the promotion of women in your country's parliament your answer would be a good starting point for our discussion. We do not have honour killing which is horrendous, women can divorce we have one of the largest divorce rates in the muslim world although it isn't sonething someone should brag about. I am free minded person and I do respect people's rights whether they are women or men. Let's back up our statements with hard facts rather than emotions , biase and stereotypical assumptions.

Then it’s funny why Somali women complain themseif about not being free since two years ago, when they wasn’t allowed to do sports ? Don’t you think? Maybe they have woman in parliament etc. but it’s not the same as basic freedom at all. Also night time they couldn’t go out without a man. But anyway brother! You’re right about the other things! Somalia is in a very good direction in many ways and I really like the country!! 😍🙏🏻🇸🇴 just do your not in doubt of that 🙌🏻

This is very disrespectful to our country and our culture, you have made it seem the life of Somali women as miserable and don't have rights at all. This is why i hate the west double stand.

In fact I do the quite opposite. Only two years ago they didn’t had rights to play football, go out at night etc… That in reality means NO RIGHTS brother..! But now I show the world Somalia opened more up for the women and they are getting more “rights”. They can now play sports, go out at night etc. Even though there’s a lot of problems because of that. But look at the video again… I’m actually showing and telling the good development here for freedom of the women. Even though a lot are still against it . It’s a very controversial video I know. And many different opinions. Especially in Somalia right now.. Peace 😉🇸🇴

@@ADVENTURE-JONESmy response is that Somalia is a Muslim country and we follow the sharia laws not what a western country does and tell us to do. •Second point. It was always safe for women to go out at night with mahram to be clear with you. •Regarding the sports matter it’s always great for the women to have their own space. • I just wanted to inform you that we have our own system and we appreciate you to respect that.

There is nothing in the Quran or Hadith that explicitly precludes women's participation in physical activities. Which means they are allowed according to Islam to play football and Sports. But is the problem that I am a man who watch them play? Or you don’t think according to sharia law they are allowed to play at all? Women can watch men play in Somalia? Because I saw women at men’s football game at Somalia national stadium.
