Abraham shows us faith at a whole different level because of his beliefs and expectations of his God. When God told him he would have an heir at 99, Abraham laughed at him, but when God called him to sacrifice his one and only son, Abraham didn't hesitate. The next morning he rose, grabbed his son and servants, cut the wood needed, and headed off to the mountain. His beliefs drove his actions, and when we begin to realize how our beliefs drive what we do in our daily lives, we then can create the life we want by changing our beliefs and expectations!
In this Kingdom Impact call, Cory Long challenges us to recognize those thoughts and beliefs we hold onto that maybe aren't serving us or driving us to our goals and dreams. Until we become aware of those beliefs, we'll be tossed by the wind and the waves and we won't have control of where we're heading. Cory gives us tools and encourages us to listen for those times that we're stressed, under pressure, anxious, angry and other emotions to see what beliefs or expectations lie under those feelings. When we begin to recognize those beliefs and take control of them, we can steer the ship anywhere we want to go!
