In the book, "The Beatles Forever," by Nicholas Schaffner, 1977, the story of the song, "She Said," is told different. Schaffner relates that Fonda was at a party with the Beatles and told John that he had an operation and died on the operating table and he would say over and over, "I know what it is like to be dead," which freaked John out.

I'm so sorry to hear of the Fonda kids early life trauma. I have a friend who's father committed suicide and its really important to document this medically for the children. This is because they have roughly a 50% chance of inheriting some form of mental illness or at least one of the many personality disorders. I think Dennis Hopper had a borderline personality and you just have to give up with people who have that unless they are totally committed to treatment. That treatment is called dialectic therapy. I don''t blame anyone who doesn't try it takes up to 3 visits per week with a psychologist for months or years. I have another friend who completed hers but then she sabotage her recovery and housing all in one go. Peter gets high marks for showing up at the church for Dennis. Many people I am related can't manage that for funerals.
