Yeah that's my only complaint is the trigger. But for somebody not running it all day, day after day, you can't beat those 225's. Fantastic trimmer

Quick story 5 years ago I would have never looked at a little echo 225 for my company cause I would think it’s a starter trimmer it won’t hold up but they also have a 2 year commercial warranty from echo so I said let me give it a try cause tons of landscapers use them man was I wrong these little units have outlasted all my Stihl 4 mix units that was so impressive to me and my employees how much abuse these little 225 can take there freaking bullit proof man as long as you use Echo or Stihl oil they will last for ever.

Of course to much oil mix but I do notice the 225’s do tend to smoke more. Especially when not running at full throttle. Builds up carbon fast.

Yep, true story. I run the 2620 no issues, non ethanol with red armor.

Yeah man those Srm225 hold up commercially very well we use them all day long trimming hedges since there so light weight I have 2 guys doing hedges all day long with them and the units are like 5 years old each one and still going strong we love them.

The square screen you took out, if it’s dark, take your torch and burn the residue. That will help it from smoking a lot.

Those are good starter trimmers I had about three before I stepped up. Still have a PAS-225 power head for the attachments.
