Great research sir! I actually met her mother when I worked at a major bank in Beverly Hills, in 1994. Her mother was extremely wealthy, equally eccentric, but presented as a poor elderly woman or "bag lady". She would come in at times to "visit" her money, as she rarely spent any of it. She told me of this story of of her daughter as I assisted her with her inquiries into her huge accounts. God rest her soul.

Google the Plymouth Belvedere that was buried in Tulsa, it was supposed to be a 50 year time capsule, placed in a concrete tomb like this which was supposed to be watertight, sadly water still got into it, when they uncovered the car 50 years later it was far from pristine. I’d definitely recommend Shockoe Hill Cemetery, since it hosts the grave of John Marshall; one of the most famous Supreme Court Justices who established Judicial Review and remained on the Supreme Court for over thirty years.

Rusting is an oxidation reaction. The iron reacts with water and oxygen to form hydrated iron(III) oxide, which we see as rust. Iron and steel rust when they come into contact with water and oxygen - both are needed for rusting to occur. The car should be in good condition but very smelly
