You are totally mistaken brother, actually We cut pile head to reach cut off level of pile but for contaminated concrete best solution is overflow of concrete. So then why we need concreting up to top level of steel cage or may be above steel cage level ? The reason is In areas where water level is high casing of pile doesn't sticks at the required level it slips down during drilling, steel cage lowering and further slips down while concreting of pile so we need that area to be filled and compacted properly thats why cut off level remains down and also we need to get rid of contaminated concrete we do concrete upto top of pile cage or above to ensure sound concrete so because of this complex situation we do all of this.

Cast isliye karte hain ki jo apka waste material kaise ki mud, bentonite or polymer and water mix hokar bahar cut off level ke upar aa jayen jisse jo wasting concrete usko chipping karke bahar nikal den aur ek stable pile ka nirman ho sake.Cut off level,hum design ke basis par decide karte hain uske baad cutoff level se lagbhag 1 to 1.5 m extra concrete ke casting karte for chipping of pile.

SIr , I am working on a test pile cage with 2 m dia. It has transverse reinforcements on top. Can you please explain at what point do we install it in the cage . Since the tremie pipe has a diameter more than the spacing of the transverse reinforcements, we cant put it through it. And we cant remove the tremie pipe to make the transverse reinforcement since extra concrete flushing needs to be done. Please clear this doubt.
