you: changes your crosshair when you whiff. Me: time to recheck my entire sensitivity.

I remember I used to do this when first got into FPS games. Aim training really helped me break this habit by showing me my aim was the issue and not my crosshair. Now the crosshair I use is a small white dot with a black outline. It’s highly visible against any background and still allows you to be precise.

most days i never change crosshairs, but sometimes i cant feel my crosshair due to maybe bad sleep, feeling hungry or getting stressed out at work, stuff like that make me change my crosshair and it helps me, but after a few rounds i go back to my old one when i gain my confidence back

In the video, it is clear that you don't know the answers to these questions yourself, and therefore you try to come up with theories to justify the "pointlessness" of changing the crosshair. However, you fail to justify it because your theory falls apart when you can't answer why professional players do it. You try to fit your theory to this fact again, but it fails because they still do it and have reasons for it that you are unaware of. And calling the actions of pro players pointless is a bit strange, right? I don't understand why this video has so many likes. Next, I will try to refute everything you said. But let's do it from a practical point of view, so the criticism is complete, and not just "I think that..." as it turned out for you. Start by going into the game and setting the most inconvenient large crosshair, something like ------||-------, and go to range. Then set the most convenient one for you and try it. Feel the difference? Agree that it exists? Can you explain what it is? If not, then you can stop reading here. If yes, then I think the hint is clear: each person has a different perception of shapes and their movement in space, different retinal sensitivity, different blinking intervals, different ranges of color and shade perception. Moreover, it differs for the same person on different days: if it's raining outside, you will blink less because the humidity is higher, and your eyes need less help with moisture. A dark and bright room makes a lot of difference too, for example. Now let's go back to the two crosshairs you set. If you noticed the difference between the huge inconvenient crosshair and the compact small one, then do you think there will be a difference between any other two crosshairs? The answer is yes, there will be in 100% of cases in the current moment of time. Even if the difference between two crosshairs is only color, it will still be present for one person today and tomorrow. When a pro player changes the crosshair, it only means they feel internal discomfort playing with the previous one due to the body's characteristics at a particular moment. A dot helps to aim more accurately but puts more strain on the retina. A cross is easier to see when the eyes are tired of the dot, but we lose accuracy: with a cross without a center dot, we have to determine the middle ourselves (time consumption), and with a full cross (with a filled center), we lose part of the opponent's head behind this center and lose part of his movement.

It's quite amusing to see someone so adamantly invested in crosshair theory. Your lengthy dissertation on the nuances of crosshair preferences is impressive, but here's a reality check: if you need a thesis to explain why you can't hit your shots, maybe it's not the crosshair that's the problem. Professional players can use different crosshairs because they spend countless hours honing their skills and can adapt to various setups. Instead of lecturing on humidity and retinal sensitivity, consider this: maybe focus less on the pseudo-scientific explanations and more on actual gameplay practice. The essence of the video was to convey that obsessing over crosshair settings is pointless if you lack basic aiming skills. But go ahead, keep adjusting your crosshair to match the weather outside; maybe one day, it'll magically make you a pro.
