I turned off on mine because I always charge in my garage. I could see it being useful if you charge outside and you are worried about your charger being stolen or people removing the charger. But I’m much happier with it off.

The nx is perfect! Not too big like the rx! It’s nimble and makes it easy to drive and park! You don’t feel like you’re driving a bus! If you know what I mean!

The charger adapter does that for your security. It prevents someone from grabbing your charger at a charging station. Having to unlock the car with a remote isn't really much of an inconvenience. Thanks for the frank review. My wife and I are in a similar situation and this helps.

Great review. Thanks. I have NX450+ Canadian base model. One correction is the seats have genuine leather seating surfaces in 450h+ unless you have F-sport.

Nice review. It's a great car. Had the NX 450h+ Takumi with ML sound for 4 months, 3,500 miles (preferred to F Sport). Getting 53 miles EV in town and 44 on the motorway (at approx 65 mph). Charges in 2.5 hrs on the UK's 240v, 30A supply. EV alone is powerful and picks up like an EV instead of BMW's X3 30e where the electric motor goes through the gearbox. It's worth understanding how the car operates the eCVT by controlling the revs for maximum efficiency. Once you have that, it's easy to ignore the 'rubberbanding drone' which is very quiet on the Takumi. It's more like a turbine coming on and there's very little noise or vibration when the ICE kicks in. Ride quality is first class. The tech is very good. Only little niggles - wireless charging doesn't work well and brakes make a small clunk when coming to a complete stop and just as you start. And a 10 year warranty if you keep it serviced with Lexus! Outstanding.

Another option if you dont want to disable the charging lock is if you have your Keyfob with you and if you can unlock the car from the rear passenger door handle just touch that and it should unlock the charger. When i had my rav4 prime i use to do that and it worked great.

Definitely Lexus over Tesla and Toyota with the comfort and ride quality Lexus has we are on our very first Lexus and we absolutely love ours and I know as soon as we can later down the road get a newer Lexus from a Lexus dealership

I like the styling of the NX and the colors it comes in over the Rav4 Prime, but I’d encourage anyone to cross shop this with the Prime XSE because while this has a much nicer luxury interior, the Prime has a lot of practical advantages. But if you want a Lexus, well its definitely not a Lexus. I have to say around where I’m at both cars are hard to come for purchase, but the 450h+ is especially hard to find for sale and I’ve only ever seen one on the streets. I see the Primes every day. I own one so I’m pretty good at spotting them. I highly recommend either as being able to drive electric most of the time is a lot of fun.

The latest NX and RX are close as you say in terms of ride comfort. This is because in the latest update, the NX ride improved over the previous NX, and the RX ride got worse compared with the previous RX. So now the NX and RX have become more equal.

No.....on the "F" Sport you get the " Adaptive Suspension " stiffer in turns and much smoother in ride quality

I agree and I’d add that it’s a lot less expensive to buy the top trim of the Prime than the lowest trim of the Lexus. I like the drive mode selector on the Prime and also the digital instrument cluster which I think is much better than what the Lexus has. The Lexus has some advantages but it’s a fairly easy call for me.

Your "cap" is very rude to the viewer, in my opinion. First, you present a premium car with a hat right in front of the camera. It is very bad, not good to watch. Sadly you really F ...ed up as you should have bought the 450h+ "F" Sport NICER MODEL.......which has a Far and Away Nicer front Facia with the large black functional Air Intakes and Adaptive Suspension gets 49 miles per 120 volt charge ( I never use gas) & it gets 89 miles per gal in Hybred!

This comment is so biased. I have 450h+ luxury without F-Sport. Yes the F sport has better aesthetic and slightly better suspension, but the seat was uncomfortable for me. And I agreed with others, how does upgrading to Fsport give you better mileage? That is a false statement. Do you even own this car by any chance?

Some don't appreciate the adaptive variable suspension or the F Sport look. Some prefer the ML audio system which is not available on the F Sport. I know you prefer the F Sport and I wouldn't say they made a bad choice if they selected the non-F Sport 450h+. Both great cars for different preferences. It's like arguing that he should have got a white vs the cloudburst gray.... whatever color works for you is the color to get.
