I watched your video and ended up buying an SA325 8 weeks back. At about 18 hours, I very much agree with your assessment. Thank you. Not enough content on the Yanmar tractor on KZbin.

Just purchased a new 324 and for the price, I was able to pick up the attachments I was looking for. Thanks for the video.

Nice video. I have owned my SA324 almost two years, it's been great. For those folks concerned about the hydro locations it's been a non-issue for me. One thing that did occur was the braking sensor/switch. Couldn't leave the seat without the engine cutting out. Simple fix: the switch 'plunger' was hitting the metal enclosure so it was as if the brake was not engaged. It's located on underside of the platform near the pedals. Long screwdriver was used to push the metal tab, fixed it. I looked at similar tractors but the ten yr warranty and close dealer sold me. Small things like arm rests are standard. Simple tractor, nice price.

That gets the just of it in 5min. The best warranty, loader and 3 point hitch lift capacity is fairly competitive too. I didn't want a weak loader lift capacity like you get on a John Deere 1025r. I've had my 324 1yr and a little over 100hrs as well. I didn't get the belly mower, because I didn't want to add hours for mowing , so I bought a separate mower. I think its more cost effective that way for me and not so heavy on the lawn. Good video!

The warranty played a big part in my decision to purchase the Yanmar. I should have mentioned it in the video, slipped my mind. I agree the hydraulics are great, I like the fact that even at an idle the loader is very responsive. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.

Same here the warranty was a big factor I went with a finishing mower so I don't have to deal with the deck mower.

I’m looking to buy new after I sell this house and purchase the next house. Sold my Kubota last summer. God I miss my loader. Yanmar looks great. One of the three Im considering actually.

I have the 424 the clearance is great and up higher also for visibility.
@tylerbarley70422 жыл бұрын
bucket attachment doesn't dig as deep that's the main negative
@doodletract52522 жыл бұрын
The 324 has plenty of ground clearance for what we do but I can see where having that additional clearance could come in handy. Thank you for watching.

Had my mind made up to buy Yanmar until I discovered where the hydraulics connect. Still not ruled it out, but is a big concern. Great video!
@elfwizardofchaos2 жыл бұрын
I was also looking at the hydraulic connection and was worried a bit at first but haven't had any issues even going through brush it would be hard to damage it.

Couldn't agree with you more. I purchased a new 324 September 2021 for the exact same reasons. The 10 year warranty and price point can't be beat.
@doodletract52522 жыл бұрын
Thank you. The 10 year warranty is another huge value I forgot to mention in the video.

One thing I noticed is they don't work as a bulldozer using the loader. I had a fern that wouldn't budge. A fern! The roots were strong. So a tractor is great but sometimes you need a bulldozer. These are only 25 hp.
@storemannc2 жыл бұрын
The horse power is not the problem 25 is plenty , the problem is getting the power to the ground and weight . If your wheels are spinning you need more weight , but if it won’t push and the wheels don’t spin then you are in too high of a gear.

It's been 10 months since you uploaded this video. Would you still buy a Yanmar today? I'm considering a Yanmar over a Kubota.
@doodletract5252 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I would still buy the Yanmar. At the time of posting the video I had already owned the tractor for about a year. The only issues I’ve had with the tractor are a small axle leak that was repaired under warranty and one of the hood clips broke, it will be handled under warranty when the hood becomes available.

I had a SA424 for 18 months , was not a fan of the 2 range hydro the high is too high except for Highway and the low is not low enough I could get it in a bind and it would not spin a wheel or go , the hydro had lots of whine and coming from a geared tractor I did not like having to rev the engine way up to make it more responsive. Pushing dirt was a unenjoyable chore. The loader and the backhoe were impressively strong but as I said the lack of a true low gear was the main deal breaker I traded on a L2501 Kubota manual transmission and love it . I just prefer a lower rpm machine with no hydro whine and it pushes like a little tank it has a much more massive rear end too. The Yanmar is probably well built and has a long warranty but it is a much lighter duty tractor too much so for me.

Hmm I'm on a steep slope. I have terracing to do. You've got me worried now.
@storemannc Жыл бұрын
@@yusufgerald3969 I had the backhoe too which was 700 pounds. No need to worry but you may wont to rent a excavator for certain jobs I dont like doing much on steep ground with any tractor.
@donrichter35237 ай бұрын
@storemannc, wow! You whined like a 🐈 about Yanmar, which is a sub compact and equivalent to a Kubota B series, and traded for Kubota L series which is 2 series higher. Of course it has a more massive rear end…🤦♂️. If your tasks don’t require constant change of speeds or direction, of course a gear drive is better than a hydrostatic drive. The problem is, the original tractor you purchased did not fit your needs and the larger tractor you traded for did. Congratulations, but that doesn’t mean there was a problem with the Yanmar, just a problem with the idiot owner

I’m trying to convince the wife we need one. We have lots of things around the 10 acres we can use it for. Lots of dead trees and landscaping stuff. I also have some drainage things I’d like to do as well. Unfortunately, we have no place to store it, so that’s her reasoning for not wanting to get one.
@doodletract52522 жыл бұрын
Hopefully you can solve your storage situation. Having a sub-compact tractor would definitely help with the projects you have planned.
@Clarity59702 жыл бұрын
You can use it to excavate the area for the garage save money there.I told my wife that cost to rent one cost 350.00 a day.
@michaelherzog89442 жыл бұрын
Why did you go 324 vs 424?
@doodletract52522 жыл бұрын
I did not have a need for the larger tires or additional ground clearance. I knew the 324 would do everything I needed and still fit in the budget. The 324 also offers more clearance in the fenders if I ever add tire chains.
@gsibertjr Жыл бұрын
the 324 has more pulling power than the 424 due to tire size. the 424 will have a higher top end speed but the smaller 324 tires will give more torque.
@storemannc Жыл бұрын
I traded my 424 but if I was hell bent on a Yanmar it would be the 324 because of the lower gear ratio due to the tire size. You want a tractor to pull and push bottom line If you mainly just use it for a wheelbarrow it does not matter.

does that seat swivel
@doodletract52522 жыл бұрын
Our seat does not swivel because we do not have the backhoe. If you option for the backhoe it would have a swivel seat. Thanks for watching.
