I am a waitress and the ONLY times I have been mistreated by people, not tipped, yelled at, video recorded, was by black people, (especially black women.) Then, my entire 20s I was harmed by black men. I was beaten, raped, pistol whipped, robbed, held hostage with guns to the back of my head, etc. All entirely by black men. They were drug dealers, and I lived in a bad area in SC. They were all extremely racist. The way they spoke about white people right in front of me was sickening. The things they did to me were barbaric. I would call them animals, but that would be a complete insult to animals. I am sorry to the few good black people who have to deal with the way other black people act. I try to not judge, and I try to see every individual and their character, but sometimes these horrific memories make it so difficult for me. I am trying so hard to forgive, but its been challenging.

Some call it "micro aggression," I call it being safe and keeping my wits about me from horrific past traumas. I WILL move to the other side of the street while walking down a sidewalk. I WILL wait to enter a gas station until it is clear of black men. I WILL keep my weapon on me, loaded and ready while walking to my car day or night. And I will never hesitate to shoot. I hate that my thoughts are like this, as it isn't fair to all black people, but I don't care if I hurt a few "feelings" while simply protecting myself from what has happened to me. Me walking to the other side of the street may hurt someone's feelings, but I need to be sure that I am safe, always. If they question me as to why, I will tell them why. He's even told me that black people talk about other black people and how horrible they can be, as a whole, and how it makes the few good ones look bad. This is so true... yesterday at Sam's Club I was behind two older black people, husband and wife. The person checking the receipts was an older white woman. The whole time we were in line the older black woman was telling her husband that they only check black people, look at them, etc....of course this is completely false, but they only had one item, a cake and refused to let them woman scan it...so disrespectful, it's ashamed they live a life where they really think like this....they need a hug.

The bigger question is, “what’s the basis for this?” Let’s say he’s right. Nobody ever asks the follow up question…WHY? Did Black people just have all the noble white people around them and choose to hate them…or maybe there’s a foundation of historical evidence to the contrary. It’s incredible how we’re called “brainwashed”, yet white people literally got their ideas on how Black people act, think, and feel not from actual interactions with them, but from white made media in film, radio, and television…often at our expense. To the point when Black people don’t live up to those caricature standards…suddenly there’s something wrong with us. I’m all about “accountability”…when it is applicable. The Black reaction to a largely antagonistic white based society isn’t rooted in “hate”, but rightful mistrust. Black people do not trust white people. That manifests itself in the reactions you often see. But we don’t talk about any of that. Doesn’t play well to the crowd this 🦝 wants.
