Why we didn't see any Koroks in the Echoes of Wisdom trailers

its just going to another collectibles, this is a trend that goes way back to oot its probably gonna stay at 100 this time around like maimai in albw, my guess right now would be the kittens hidden in the trailer, altough those could be for one smaller quest

because you don't need to 100% the game, the koroks were 900 in botw and 1k in totk so there was a higher chance of encountering them to upgrade your invetory space

The koroks are my favourite 🥺 But I’m still super excited about this game!!! It seems really cool, I like the creative game mechanics and how they match Zelda’s character. And the deku scrubs are cute too!

way i understood it since koroks "descend' from kokiri, they were always koroks, or rather forest spirits without a definite form and oot deku tree made them look like hylian childs to link so he could grow as an orphan in the forest without feeling lonely meaning kokiris never really existed, but thats just my dumb theory and fanservice prevail any sort of sense in the zelda verse anyway

In the Downfall timeline, we know Saria had descendants, so maybe the Kokiri just became normal Hylians.

i mean why would we even see koroks? its not like any forest dwelling species was a zelda constant like goron and zora, it was already a miracle they came back in botw, im happy the deku scrubs gets another time to shine but man do i wish to see kikwis back one day

Yeah, my take is that it's the downfall timeline, but in all fairness, they kinda overdid it a little bit with the BOTW TOTK. It's good to give the Koroks a bit rest for a few games.

Why wouldn't Zelda be able to see the koroks only someone pure of heart can see them and Zelda is pure of heart she is the goddess hylia so that reason makes no sense I just don't think they are in it

Zelda isn't Hylia, she is her descendant. Hylia is the mother goddess statue.

Your explanation of the Korok is waaay off; they didn't evolve from Kokiri to Korok, Korok had always been their true form the GDT just made them look like kids so OoT Link could grow up "among his own kind". They aren't only in one timeline either, Hyrule is destroyed in the adult timeline so BotW/TotK aren't in that timeline. Also, I'm so sick of the Korok and this modern BS Zelda.

The they did it for Links sake has never been confirmed, but the Zelda Encyclopedia says that the Kokiri are a offshoot of Hylians and Rauru´s Hyrule is a refounding so for Botw/Totk can still be in the Adult timeline.
