Such a pretty girl. Love Lamancha's. My family raised them for over 20 years.

@@Earthshaker513 they were great but we went 100% Nigerian dwarf goats. Been breeding for a couple years now.

Thanks Wyatt, we are thinking long term as well as short term. My wife is playing a huge role. I also am planning a new home build. The stress never ends but it’s worth it. Thank again brother

Hello my friend 👍

I started with a Boer doe and Lamancha Billy. The females all had Lamancha ears, males had Boer ears. I replaced my Billy with a Nigerian Dwarf 4 does kidded so far. I have my first Lamancha Billy from this group. They are all very different in coat patterns.

Very interesting. We’d love to breed minimanchas eventually. We’re excited for our LaMancha kids any day.

@@Staygoldfarms You have good looking goats. I had too much trouble with Billy's and down sized for temperament. I just got lucky with my choice.

Boar/lamanchas? How was their confirmation and milk? If i get into this mix, am i likely to get meat heavy goats with good milk, or is it typically one or the other?

We've always been bent on nubian but I'll be getting lamancha, nubian, Nigerian.
@Staygoldfarms2 жыл бұрын
Lamancha are a great breed but I would recommend separate infrastructure for all your breeds if you go that route. Especially if you are breeding. Trust me. All the best

@@Staygoldfarms we've not known any neighbors to have issues around with nubian and lamancha does being together in their fences. We're getting the goats off a farm who's been doing it about 40 years and now retiring. So thankfully we gained a mentor as well which not everyone has that so I got lucky! Only a Nigerian buck in 2023 being added.

@@DreamweaversHomestead oh that’s a way better scenario. I mainly meant the Nigerians with larger breeds.

@@Staygoldfarms ahh okay, yeah no does for us in that breed as far as we can tell right now.

Wow I am surprised your goats would be out in the snow, mine just hide in their hut when it’s snowing!

They like treats. Spoiled.

My goats are the same way. Fairly loud when I walk away but not nearly as loud as a Nubian. I am never getting a Nubian again 🤣

We may get rid of the lamancha goats. We are picking up another Nigerian and considering going 100% with them. Improve our line with high end milk stars. I’d like a polled Nigerian eventually. Hope you have a great season.
