The new cabin is coming along very well!! If you're building this to accommodate your friends .... I think they should be out there helping more!! I don't want you to get hurt trying to lift anymore boards. This cabin is going to be something special. Actually all your work is special....the little house, the work shed and especially the well!! It must be wonderful to be able to walk out your front door and pull a bucket of cold fresh water anytime you need it. Perfect!!! Good job young man!!

Your video makes me feel empowered and hopeful. I will need to use a rope pully system as my restrengthening is slow coming. I'm so eager I can taste it. My two service dogs will love it as well , and I can't wait to give them that life as well. Thank you for your video. It put more gas in my tank.

Great job Roman. The house is very strong and will be well insulated. I build much the same way. Do it once, do it right. I have BPS knife like yours and Beavercraft. Several. UKRAINE FOREVER. The cut on the rafters is called a BIRDSMOUTH. It locks/notches both ends together so they don't bulge out. From East Kentucky USA. All good. Take care.

You are definitely improving your skills. This new building is substantial and I am curious as to what the design will be. I do wish you would use some safety equipment, especially a hard hat and back brace. Fall prevention when you are up on the roof needs to be addressed. You mostly work alone and have good balance but be mindful. There are ways of lifting/bringing materials up that use mechanical aids that have been around for centuries so be careful. You are young now but look after the body as it will make you pay in later years ( voice of experience here). Nice to see the bird pictures from your area included. Looking forward to you next video.

Having worked construction for many years, it's oddly satisfying, in my old age, to watch someone else do it. A few tricks I learned along the way would be quite useful to this feller. Time savers and safety tricks that really make the job go easier and make the build faster are passed down from one carpenter to another throughout the working years of tradesmen. In a few years this man will think about why he did things the way he did and wonder why he didn't do it a different way. Probably accounts for building another cabin next to the old one. Hope doesn't fall off that 'ladder' he built. There's a better simpler way to build your own ladder out of 2x4's that is much safer. Sheathing the framing (at least partially) eliminates the need use rack framing members. And it makes need to climb up with the sheathing to install it later unnecessary. I know he used power tools (but never shows them) so as to make you think he does it all by hand. Those cuts are to clean to be hand sawed. Maybe a cordless nail gun where he won't have to drive nails by hand would by useful, as well.
@mypersonaljournal16 күн бұрын
Thanks, but I'm trying to pretend I'm doing it by hand. In the description and in the subtitles, I say I use a cordless saw. The first house was built by hand.
