What's the use of learning Tagalog in Cebu when its not the cultural heart of the language itself. Learn to speak Cebuano instead and people will easily be comfortable hanging with you.

Kamao na man ko magbinisaya oi. The use of learning Tagalog is that Tagalog is the language most people are comfortable with in Luzon and other areas of the Philippines. I live in Cebu, that's why I would like to learn Tagalog in Cebu, but sometimes I go places outside of Cebu. And what if I just wanted to learn Tagalog for the heck of it? Why question it?

Im a bug fan of both u and erwann but i just want to clear out that magellan did NOT discover cebu . He actually got lost and landed in cebu accidentally thinking it was Moluccas , and when he arrived there was already civilization on the island (evidence: lapu lapu was a datu). So against common belief, magellan did not discover cebu/the phillipines 😁✌🏻️ Thats all God bless you 💪🏻👌🏻

Dear Erwan, you're not a better historian because Magellan didn't discover Cebu (or the Philippines for that matter). There were already people in the country, but of course, Europeans say 'discover' because history is written by the victors.

The word 'discover' has a lot of issues surrounding it. It's actually been criticised recently by Filipino historians/professors because in public schools, they teach that we were discovered by Europeans. Trust me, you'll understand when you study grade school in the Philippines.

dimsum break is already in manila but for some reason guys there never order what cebuanos go to dimsum break for... and that's steamed fried rice.. but if you're going for dimsum next time ur in cebu, go to ding qua qua... it's the buffet dimsum break... not a lot of choices in their menu but i just love the food...
