Man, I honestly think this video is perfect. This is the best explanation of what people love about Metroid that I’ve ever seen/heard. The flow of the video was great, no beats held for too long. And, it has the classic PHylian spice on the visuals and editing. Awesome work man! To you and everyone that worked with you on this one. And also, just what a time to be alive that Metroid Dread releases in under two days. We waited so long for this. To finally have an adventure with Samus again. I guess just never stop believing folks, that’s all.

I used to watch my best friend, my father do Metroid runs. All the way from super Metroid to Metroid prime two... He passed recently and I'm continuing the torch by searching the planets as Samus and the mysterious world of Metroid enjoying it like he did. Here's to you Dad. Here's to you.

I have tried my whole life to try and get people into Metroid games. I have never really succeeded. It's not warm and welcoming like Mario, Zelda and Pokemon to the average person. Metroid is for the person who craves the unknown, who is excited by the thought of going into a challenge without knowing what's next. And slowly mastering that challenge until you feel like you know it like the back of your hand. It's hard to explain to people why this is so fun. Thanks for making something I can show people.

I think a major component to Metroid is that it is in no way mindless. It's the thinking man's (or really woman's in this case) shooter/platformer. There's action, certainly, but the chief goal is progression through exploration and problem solving. Even the combat encounters are not wanton violence, they are problems to be solved. The fact that most combat encounters must be studied in order to be beaten further establishes them as action puzzles. Even many of the abilities that provide that sense of growth are tied to your ability to navigate the world, not new ways to destroy things, and it's up to you to remember where this item might have come in handy and how to use it to progress. The story, too, both narrative and environmental, is gleaned from a deliberate desire to investigate, rather than handed to you.

My first Metroid game was Super Metroid item I played it on might Wii U back in a day I was a 10-year-old child who never played a video game about aliens before and let's say I was terrified of everything in the game but what scared me the most was the end when I got to Mother Brain fight and she turned into that Gigantic Monster that freaked me out so bad that I shut off the game immediately but now that I'm older I love Super Metroid it's still my favorite in the franchise and by the way I'm a bit younger than most people who played it I wasn't born in the 80s and 90s I was born in 2006 so but I love older games more modern games.

Metroid was the entire reason I bought a GBASP, ever since I saw someone playing Fusion one day on a GBA as a child. Unfortunately I wasn't able to buy fusion and had to buy Zero Mission first, but I really enjoyed that game and bought Fusion after. Then I bought the Metroid Prime Gamecube bundle and the rest is history. Good video, Can't wait to play Dread.

What makes Metroid so special? Well, I think it's level of attention to details. Every simple game design choice is so tastefully done with such understanding what player wants to feel. Metroid game works as immersive sim in some ways. Samus's character is so charming and interesting that you don't notice how you fully invested in the story, in her story, That’s something that I think what makes Metroid game so incredible and like no other game out there. True Metroid games are also incredibly replayable, which makes them timeless for the players. They're never getting old or boring, which makes it's incredible that 5 games in a row of 2d have the same level of quality. Consintency in quality that's also the reason what makes Metroid series so mesmirizing.

Other M is amazing those who hate it never played it themselves and jump on the hate bandwagon just like Skyward Sword back in Wii was hated and now loved after got ported to Switch. Hope we're getting another other M for Switch
@metroidxme64703 жыл бұрын
Umm I think you're missing the point of what Other M did to the franchise. Most people didn't hate the gameplay of Other M itself. What they hated was how the developers handled Samus' background story and her personality.
@Rizky-Gumilar3 жыл бұрын
@@metroidxme6470 the story is average and what they did to samus isn't completely destroying her character. Fans just overreacted like usual. Gameplay was fantastic and it similar to Ninja Gaiden DMC. Wish Nintendo didn't have to listen to stupid fans complain and make a sequel. So many great Nintendo ip dead becose fans complain too much.

For me 'Other M' has a lot of great potential and ideas, but it was handled poorly with executing those ideas for the story really made the game not as high praise as the other metroid games in my opinion.
