Why We Love Split Stays at Disney World | Resort Hopping at Walt Disney World

I did a split stay last week from bay lake tower to beach club. I was told they could not move my refrigerated stuff but I had brought insulated bags and they said that would work. Our bags were kept in an air conditioned room and my refrigerated things were still cold when we got them at beach club.

We have recently started doing split stays, we love them! I love having a change of scenery, plus it can sometimes save you money. Great video!

We also enjoy split stays because we like to have a couple different experiences and it allows us to try a nicer resort for at least a few days 😊. One other disadvantage we have found is it “resets” the clock for your dining reservations which are 60 days + the length of your stay, it can prevent you from getting the hardest reservations (aka Cinderella’s Royal Table).

Yes, that is true about the dining reservations. FastPass always allow us to book all the way through but not dining.

Got upgraded to club level after the wedding. It was a split stay and we used it on checkout day despite being at another hotel.

Well, unfortunately they changed their rule on refrigerated items AFTER we uploaded this video (we are just leaving Disney World today and had pre-produced several videos). They will still move food but will not move perishables. The work around would be to take perishables to the new location and Bell Services can refrigerate them for you until your room is ready.

We ran into that today. We were checking out of Beach Club so we stored our refrigerated items there while we went to Epcot and Hollywood studios. Once we were ready to go to our next resort I just picked up the refrigerated items from Bell services myself and then headed on over to the Polynesian. I will add that we had a car, but you could do this with an Uber or Lyft too.

I've never thought to do split stays. Thats such a good idea. With being a southern California native going to Disneyland was only a hr away so never needed to stay in a hotel but now in Texas we're gunna have to keep these tips in mind for when we go. Great video as always 😊

Still haven't done a split say, but definitely want to try it out in the future. Due to budget concerns, I would probably mainly stay at a Value resort and then switch to a one or two-night stay at a deluxe resort. Thanks for the tips.
