@@worthytravels we live in the Dallas Texas area for seven months of the year, and then head over to our Flat in Cheltenham all summer. My husband is a dual citizen and has family who live in both countries. I do miss the Cotswolds when we are not there! I have done my share of getting up at the crack of dawn as well. Definitely on the day we filmed Bourton on the Water! Ha ha Where in England did you live?

Thanks for the tip about the Malt & Anchor! We are Americans that live on the edge of the Cotswolds each summer, and I'm always looking for amazing places to eat that we can try out! We still haven't made it to Chedworth Roman villas yet, so I enjoyed seeing your visit there. Beautiful footage of the northern lights! 👍 Cheers! XX Dara

@@worthytravels I heard a friend tell me that they knew someone who went to Iceland to see the northern lights and didn't really get to see any. Then they went back home to Utah, probably when you were seeing the northern lights in the Cotswolds, and saw a fantastic display! Lol

May I know which month was your visit?
@worthytravelsАй бұрын
We went in May. This is a good month genuinely cause it’s outside of the peak summer season. Weather in England is always hot or miss but May can start to see more drier days then wet ones. There are a couple of Bank holiday Mondays in May (public holidays) where you can expect to see increased visitors so best to avoid these if possible. Let us know if we can help with anything else.
@catherinelim8194Ай бұрын
You were so lucky to catch the Northern Lights! We were in Iceland and Finland in March but sky was too cloudy to see the lights. Our Aurora tour was cancelled due to poor weather.
@worthytravelsАй бұрын
We’ve had our fair share of missing the aurora too so I definitely feel your pain! Can I suggest visiting Tromsø, Norway. Obviously you still need good weather but we had the best time there and managed to see them every day! Was truly spectacular
@catherinelim8194Ай бұрын
@@worthytravels which month would you recommend?
@worthytravelsАй бұрын
@catherinelim8194 some locals told us October, March generally have a better likelihood of seeing them because the weather “should” be better but we went in November and saw them. It’s kind of hit or miss unfortunately. When we went to Kiruna, Swedish Lapland, the weather was supposed to be clear all week and then suddenly got cloudy/foggy every night bar one. 😢

@KNIGHTSTEMPLAR13 Oh my goodness, that's so frustrating. We saw something similar when we were at Castle Combe. It was 7:30 in the morning on a Sunday and a busload of tourists were shouting and making a lot of noise on private driveways, on kerbs, etc.. Some were peering into windows too. I felt so bad for the residents of the village and I could relate since we lived in the New Forest for a very long time.That's why we decided to include a little appeal in our video. I really hope it changes soon. - Denise
