Love and respect from Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪 although I am originally from India. I am exactly on your position which you were few years ago. Currently I am in EU Blue card and working as IT Cloud Specialist and would be applying for PR in coming year and thinking about English speaking country either Netherlands or UK. Your guidance would definitely help me.

Hey ? Can you tell me something ? I am a psychology student in India doing graduation. I want to do my masters in Germany definitely bcoz it's cheaper. But I eventually want to work and maybe settle in UK. So should I do a MBA or MSc Clinical Psychology ( my field ) as my masters ? In order to get a job in UK in the future ? What would you suggest ?

Most of the comments you made for Germany stands for almost all EU schengen countries. I myself have lived in the Netherlands for 7 years and there too you have the same problems. This isnt a German case, that's all im saying. Everybody has their own language and they expect you to learn their language if you want to live there indefinitely. And obviously it's common sense, to learn the language to the full extent otherwise you'll never REALLY connect with anyone outside or inside the workplace. Having said that, I understand, it's pretty difficult to get our proficiency to that level. I think this pretty much applies to all countries outside the EU as well (except English speaking countries). If you're living in a country, let's say Spain, you will hardly find people who speaks English all the time and in fact most of them can't speak English. If you wanna really connect with them at a local level with all the reasons mentioned here, you're the one with the problem with learning Spanish. If you don't like it, it's not the country's problem. And about the point of Indian community, I think it's just a stupid point to mention in this video. If your reason is to find Indian people wherever you go, this whole analysis is pointless
@HarshitaVivekTalks

All good points. Every country has its pros and cons. And every reason is good enough as it’s people’s personal preferences. No right or wrong answer. This video was our experience and rationale shared with the intention of sharing one perspective. There can be many more perspectives
@vandav3859

Such a dumb comment. Its from their point of view. They are not talking arrogantly just saying there is a language barrier. It takes years to learn a language and even then in Germany you have different dialects. Its not like the European people are extra friendly and it takes time to make friends. Certainly in companies in berlin they are moving to English as they NEED engineers. Its not a one way street. They need us also. You seem to have a very low opinion of how much highly educated Indians or asians in general have to offer.

Thanks Swati. Energy prices have gone up in UK recently. We will soon make a video on cost of living in UK. We preferred London over Netherlands because of English (vs. Dutch in Netherlands), and felt overall economy/ opportunities wise, UK is a bigger economy.

I don't understand why Ireland is not in your list? Why wouldn't you get German passport in a year and move to ireland and it will be much easier to get Irish passport in 4/5 years, allowing you to settle in UK with no additional hastle as a "European"!

We still had one year to go till we could apply for German passport and then wait time is also sometimes 1-2 yrs more. Our plan to move we felt was better to be done sooner. We thought UK has more job opportunities than Ireland, hence the choice

Don't spread misinformation. I lived in US for a decade, the people are very accepting, Especially Big cities/College towns. My 20s were spent in US, had a great time. Crime is an issue, but UK too has crimes. Some cities you need to avoid for avoiding crimes. Young lads would love US. Although I moved back to India now and I am happy. But US was not bad.
