The viewing angles are decent. From the Google Play store I did download Disney+, HBO, Showtime etc. Amazon Prime was not available until Amazon and Google came to an agreement. The main reason I bought that model was its capability to connect to a bluetooth speaker. I don't really care for the remote but I can live with that.

Sharp still makes tvs that aren't Hisense. We had done our research and at the last minute changed our minds because we had a sharp aquos for 13 years (still have it) and it was a good TV. I have a question I know you’re Videos is a couple months old but I have an old Sharp going to be at least 10 years old and I was planning on getting a new TV this week. I was hoping for an 85 inch any suggestions? I don’t want to spend a lot of money and we’re not like high tech people although we do watch Netflix prime and Disney and a Sports app called DAZN that one we typically hook up our computer to the TV to watch boxing matches. Any suggestions I haven’t purchased a TV in about 10 years or more, the new ones seem complicated like they have a lot of things going on. We don’t watch a lot of TV a couple of movies a week we don’t do any gaming we were hoping for a really good quality viewing experience when we do watch TV. Thank you very much for your any help
@OpenBoxReviews4 жыл бұрын
We ended up purchasing an LG after returning this TV, it is a 55" and is a great TV that I highly recommend. The screen is crips and clear, the viewing angles far exceed the Sharp TV, even the sound is better (we don't use the sound on the TV, we use a soundbar but the sound on this TV is pretty good). We have had zero issues with the LG and it was only $50 more than the one we returned in this video. I don't know if it is helpful or not but we also have a Samsung that we've had for close to 10 years and haven't had an issues with that but it is not the same quality as the newer TVs by any means.
@Maver1ck7774 жыл бұрын
This review is completely wrong in many ways. Hisense got rights to make Sharp TVs so it is kind of normal that they looks like Hisense. For the price you pay (about $400 CAD), you get something pretty decent. Refresh rate is low but again, you get what you pay for and it still better than some cheap TVs. I tried my PS4 on it and it is awesome! Only issue is when I connect my sound bar and sub woofer on it, the Sub doesn't really work. They also don't have the Disney+ Channel but perhaps with a future update, they will. For someone who doesn't want to spend too much and have a good TV, this is for you. It is far from being a giant piece of crap as a matter of fact, this is a good intelligent TV.

The point was that I thought I was buying a sharp auquos which was the same TV we had for 13 years and the reason that at the last minute we purchased this. If this is a Hisense TV it should say it is or at the very least Sharp by Hisense. For just a bit more money (I think less than $50 more before rebates) we purchased an LG which is an excellent TV with fantastic picture, better viewing angles, an app store with every app we need, connected to everything (including our soundbar) easily and it is actually made by LG.

I appreciate your short comments on what this brand is now a days and what does it offer behind the Sharp name. It is really sad that they no longer exist as the brand they were and got bought by HiSense. I have nothing against the brand, but I also think that their quality is not the best. I see them more as a value brand when you don't want to spend much. To me, if I'm spending on a new, large TV, 55" or bigger, I will not sacrifice quality just to save money. A large TV is an investment in quality entertainment, not to just have a big screen. If I'm going for a large screen I want the best it can offer too: plenty of app options, awesome picture quality, decent amount and faster HDMI ports, and long lasting life. But again, these are just my thoughts and likes when it comes to getting a new smart TV. One can't argue on taste. And there are others that don't care about apps or pay much attention to better picture quality or amount of input ports; they may just be interested in a large screen and spend the least possible. My 2 cents.

It's not about Hisense or not. It's about what kind of SmartTV it is. LG, Samsung, Sony, etc also have models that have pre installed apps but not on Android OS. There are no apps store in them, so you can not add new apps. Or sometimes they do have their own app store for the TV, however the apps you're looking for may not be available in them. They are usually cheaper than the Android ones. So you can either buy a TV that have preinstalled apps in them and made sure they have all the apps you want before buying them, or if you want convenience, you can buy a TV with Android OS. They are both classified as SmartTV fyi. The third option would be to buy the cheaper TV and then buy a proper android box. SmartTVs are usually low in internal diskspace, which you need for updates on the apps, just like on our phones.

@aabidamn4 ай бұрын
@@OpenBoxReviews It's not that they have gotten better. Like I said, its depends on what kind of SmartTV they are. All the types of SmartTV that I mentioned are still available in the market as a new model. The manufacturers are giving customers the option to choose whether they want to buy the cheaper one with preinstalled apps that has no ability to install new apps, or the more expensive one with android OS where you can download apps like in android phones. It's up to us. We just have to do more research before buying a new TV, similar to when we buy a new smartphone.

Also, why do most people need to spend about 2 minutes in your vid just to know it didn't support hulu when your vid titles did not even state clearly enough ? For an extreme comment, I think most people consider a mistake jumping in and spending time on your vid from an ambiguous titles. Just compare the amount of likes and dislikes then you will get a clearer picture. Last, mind your language and attitude that you put during filming. This is another point to claim that this is a true mistake jumping in this vid. There are plenty of quality review videos through out this site as an education for you, just in case you don't know.

However, after purchasing our LG, which we currently have, the LG is far superior, better viewing angles, compatible with more apps and devices and all around a better TV for the same price and surprise, actually made by LG and not another company using the LG name. So yes, something can look great at first, well designed and seem like a good idea and turn out to be a piece of crap, this applies to more areas than TVs, politicians included. But thanks for your comment.

First,you didn't do your homework with Sharp brand. It was a last minute change of mind at the store. You didn't even know Sharp sold the rights to another manufacturer. That does not mean it's a bad TV. Thanks God it was not a RCA, a Westinghouse, or an Emmerson Tv. It could it be worse. By the way, Sharp tv's are always been way behind technology wise compared to LG, Samsung, Sony, Panasonic & many other brands TV. The average consumer knows that. Second, viewing angle. I assume everyone buys a Tv to watch it seating right in front of it. Every Tv has a viewing angle limit, but who the hell is gonna seat at the corner of the living room to watch it. Is that really a deal breaker to anyone,lol. Third, I just bought a 75" vizio quantum X. It's an amazing Tv that compares to most Sonic Tvs ( picture quality), but easily a thousand dollar less. I did my homework, but the tv doesn't have Sling tv or Rockus app which I like. That doesn't mean is a piece of crap at all. Any update at any given time will add it to the Tv. Mean while Google chrome solved my problem for now, 'till the update. I'm pretty sure that sharp Tv you took back probably has Hulu by now after an update. And I sure you were so upset at that moment that you wrote that aggressive comment.
