What about fermented fruits and veggies in the winter?
@HolisticHilda Жыл бұрын
I bet Thaddeus would be cool with that, because that's how those foods were traditionally eaten in the winter.

I've been reading a book about eating seasonally. The author was looking at the topic through the lens of Aryuveda. He allows for carbs in the form of storage crops like potatoes, apples,carrots, squash, beets, grains and citrus that is in season. It sounds as though from your perspective these foods are not ok? I'm kind of wondering besides meat what you consider appropriate food, particularly in a northern climate. I do plan to get this book but I'm curious now 😊

Okay so I'm answering this mid-summer when the answer may not apply, haha. But the truth is, I think some veggies (that have been stored/canned/fermented) may work in the winter, but they should not comprise the lion's share (or bear's share 😁) of the diet in my opinion, and based on the work of Thaddeus. At the end of the day, it's best to listen to your intuition on this one and see what suits your body best! 🥰
