“Why we should leave our comfort zone. People are generally afraid of change and stepping outside their comfort zones. Having successfully worked in the advertising industry for decades, Suthisak felt a need to bring new purpose in his work, so he began focusing on creative work with a social message. To do this, he and his team had to step outside their comfort zones. They had to visit slums, learn how to extract nicotine from the livers of deceased smokers for an anti-smoking campaign, and talk to parents of children deformed lips in a campaign to change society’s attitudes to such children. By pushing himself outside his comfort zone, he has been able to create advertising campaigns over the past 30 years with unique creativity. His talk is in Thai. www.tedxchiangmai.com
Suthisak Sucharittanonta, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of BBDO Bangkok, is one of the most awarded creatives in Asia. Over the past 30 years, he has created advertising imbued with unique creativity. Most recently, his work in innovation - “The Message from the Lungs” for Thai Health Promotion Foundation - was awarded a Silver in Innovative from Clio Awards 2015 and a Grand Prix from Adstars 2015. Suthisak was honored in Bangkok Art Directors' Association Hall of Fame, and BBDO Bangkok became the GUNN Report’s 8th most awarded agency in the world in 2004.
