My husband who is congolese paid 400$ a year ago for a passport that never been delivered to him till now and now that he went to congo with a pass delivered by the ambassy in Ottawa, Canada. He found out that nothing been ordered by the ambassy and he have to pay again to start over. Lucky for him that now the passport is 100$ today. I really don’t get it either. When you charge such a high amount of money for a visa, not just to Europe/USA but even other Africans, you completely discourage any tourism. No one is going to pay $250 to visit Congo when they can go somewhere else for free. Wode Maya I have been following your channel for a long time & I am not mad as a Congolese this issue needs to be addressed in Congo in fact, I think you should start talking about the negatives as well of the countries in which you visit not just the positives then maybe it will raise awareness since you almost have 1 million subbies because am sure there is no way that you loved everything about the various African nations you visited, each one has their own negativities and in order to make changes the negativities need to be addressed

Maya you are the kind of spirit that Africa needs. When it comes to my country the D.R. Congo there is no word for the mess and the corruption that is clearly seen even before you enter the country as you habe just experienced. I hope this video is going to be additional wake-up call for us Congolese and our gouvernement members who are doing very little obviously to make positive change. This is so sad 😞. I travelled today from London(UK) to Eindhoven( NL) and it cost me only £20 one way for a 45 munites flight ✈️. Travelling from one country to the other cost that much? It’s ridiculous to be honest and what really pains me is that the money does not reflect on the point of entry which is the AIRPORT neither it reflects on those countries

I am telling you. It's cheaper for many Africans to travel to Europe. The other day I saw news that the Portuguese speaking countries will be having a visa free agreement. On top of that you get better treatment in European countries and cheaper flights and accommodation. You guys are amazing to keep going, you're working for a much larger vision.
