Why We YouTube / Donating blood while Truck Camping

While enjoying a long weekend getaway in our Ford/Lance Flatbed Truck Camper we discuss why we KZbin. We also take some time to donate blood at our Offroad Club's annual LifeSouth blood drive. A tank leak rears its ugly head in our Lance camper and Carla does some cooking over the campfire.

►2015 Lance 1172, bought it in February 2024 as a private sale from South Carolina.
►2023 Northern Lite 10-2 EX SE Dry Bath, We bought it in June 2023.
►2020 Lance 1172 - We purchased from Southland RV in Atlanta, GA - July 2022 before our 3 week trip out west. Sold it in June 2023.
►2020 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper - We got our 2020 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper in October 2021. We were contacted by a couple of subscribers (now good friends) who had theirs up for sale in Upstate New York so we headed out on an adventure. We sold our 2014 Bigfoot 10.4 within one day of listing it online.
►2014 Bigfoot 10.4 Truck Camper - We got our 2014 Bigfoot 10.4 in August 2021 from RVOne near Charlotte, NC. Todd was headed to buy a brand new Bigfoot 10.4 just before we got the Lance 975 but when he got to Southland RV, it was sold. That's when we decided to go to the Lance 975. We knew at some point in the future we'd have a Bigfoot again and here it is.
►2021 Lance 975 - We got our new 2021 Lance 975 from Chattanooga Fish n Fun in Hixson, TN in August 2020. After looking at several models, we decided on the Lance 975 (Check out Brad's channel from Chattanooga Fish n Fun, he gives great, thorough overviews of some really nice boats and campers.) We sold the Lance 975 in August 2021.
►2019 Northern Lite 10-2 Truck Camper - Bought and delivered from Mountain Motors in Troy, MO on 12/2019 and sold it in 01/2020.
►2005 Northern Lite 10-2 Truck Camper - Picked up on 8/10/2019 we did major repairs, maintenance and renovations to this one and sold it in 12/2019.
2008 Bigfoot 21RB - Sold 12/2019, we went across country to purchase from a dealer in Pueblo Colorado.
►2006 Casita Spirit Deluxe - Sold 07/2018 when we bought our Bigfoot.
►2002 A-liner - Sold 05/2017 when bought our 2006 Casita Spirit Deluxe.

My wife and I certainly appreciate your videos particularly your focus on weights and capacities as it relates to carrying a TC. We would like to get a truck camper to replace our 2017 Lance 1985 travel trailer. It’s a challenge to get the amenities you’d want without grossly exceeding your truck’s GVWR. It’s not like dealers near Canton, GA have very many 1 ton dually trucks sitting around on their lots and one never knows what the actual cargo capacity is really going to be. Our 2018 Ram 2500 with a 2,395 lbs cargo capacity might be able to carry a Four Wheel Campers Hawk pop-up TC with us, our dogs and some gear. 🤞🏻

Hi. I love your videos, don’t matter the subject. More on that later. Here’s a fix for your leaky gate valve. Look up this KZbin title. Black Tank Valve Hard To Open And Close. I did this two years ago and since then lube it once a year and no more sticky or leaky valves.

We took a 15,000 mile rv trip to Alaska in 2022 from PA, the flexibility that you have with a truck camper is awesome. We like modifying our camper to our needs same as you. Regarding the grey water: it fathoms me how much of a stickler they are for your grey water, what do they do with all the tent campers who wash their pots and pans etc…in the tubs and then throw the water on the ground? Do they eye spy and sneak around and warn them? The earth will naturally filter the water, let’s use some common sense. Of course there are those who will leave a complete mess but overall campers are pretty environmentally friendly and self conscious. Now if it were the black tank…..I’d be telling you to pack up.

Todd and Carla I am one that enjoys and appreciates your videos. I have obtained quite a lot of info from them. I hope you will continue. Wifey and I were in the market for a Lance 975 a while back and I have watched your (975) reviews probably 20-30 times. Wifey would see me watchin' them and ask "are watchin that again"?. Quite a bit of good info there. The info on the exterior storage compartments, the Ultra deck, Lance Locker and the exterior lighting operable from inside really hit home for me. We are now considering the Northern Lite 10-2. I like the design but I am having a hard time with the lack of exterior storage. I would love to sit down and chat about that with you two. Anyway, please don't stop doing this. I always look forward to what you are doing next. Jim

We’ve had two dog friendly campers. The Lance 1172 because there is more room and it has a couch and the Northen Lite 10-2 because our dog could jump up on the dinette and then onto the bed all by herself. Good question! Thanks for watching!

You guys should try one of those silicone bbq mats to cook, betty crocker I think it was... impressive. Anyways, after years of no longer owning my Northern Lite 9.6 classic and wanting to replace with a Lance 1062, I finally settled on a '24 NL 9.6LE. I really wanted my rear campside dinette but this will work. I'm SRW 3500 and the 1062 was pushing it, even a 10-2 NL is borderline. Thanks for all the reviews and entertainment, you guys are cool, cheers from Vancouver Island, Canada - I also miss my 3x rolled and rebuilt chevy powered 400hp 82 CJ7 Renegade, sigh... youth...

Think I remember you mentioned downsizing financially, but, really? The 24's don't have any carpet anymore!! You've got a sweet rig now with that 450 dually and the 1172... it's all about the old pets, I totally feel you

Hello from NL Canada I have done corn on the fire or BBQ and I leave the greens on the corn or the ears. And some in water for twenty minutes and then place on the grill when the ears or greens have started to turn brown it's cooked just cook until the out side greens turn brown not all.

****COMPLAINT**** I have watched the two of you for a L-O-N-G time. The problem I have is I don't see you answering questions people ask you! Don't get me wrong, I understand it is time consuming to read all the comments and respond but isn't that also one of the reasons you have a channel? Some technical questions I've already answered in a video or they are very open-ended questions that can't be answered in a quick response.
