As hard as it may sound you can plan for the recession. If you are working, find extra work and get an Invest--advisor. Protect your deposits by having enough cash in short term fixed income. Then cut your expenses. Minimal insurance, cut utilities.

That's why I make it a point to speak with a financial counselor before choosing any investments. I've been using one since the pandemic. using profit-oriented tactics and minimizing risk as a buffer against inevitable downtrends. In addition, they have access to insider knowledge and analysis, making failure virtually impossible for them. I made almost $700K after working with an advisor for over two years.

@@hometowncook6970 Corporate taxes are a business expense and like any business expense they are added to the cost of the product. If you make a widget tax free for $5 and you need a minimum $2 dollar profit to keep your company going, that means the buyer will have to pay $7 for the widget. Guess what happens when you add a $1 per wiglet TAX? That's right, you have to sell the widget for $8 dollars because now it costs you $6 to make the widget and you still have to make enough profit ($2) to keep you company going. Pat, I watched the entire video and I've read Tom's book last year. His book is very informative and easy to understand. He really changed how I view the tax system and changed my view on how the wealthy pay little taxes. This is something everyone can take advantage of and if they read the book or even just do some research they will see that the tax code really does provide a roadmap on how to pay less taxes and build wealth. If you think about it, the Musk's of the world are providing jobs and goods and services that benefit our economy and society which benefits all Americans. If you take away the tax incentives it will not motivate these entrepreneurs as much to do the things they do. The number one driver of the economy is small business, not corporations and we can't take away things that benefit small businesses when they are so important and provide so much benefit to us. Great interview as always and thank you for providing us such great content.

Did you know uneducated IRS Auditors/employees @ the IRS who are assigned to your Corp. or Personal income Tax Return or Tax Audit ARE NOT required to have an Accounting degree? Yet, the American taxpayers have to PAY $$$$ someone who does (i.e. a Professional CPA and /or CPA Tax Attorney). Too, in order to follow the dispute you must hire someone who does. The process causes unnecessary Time, Loss of earnings, and Fear in the American citizen and $$$ thousands for a Representative to speak to someone who understands the SAME Language America is Governed by. Then, the IRS will keep an Audit open out of "preference and /or interest" and only to find nothing Years later. Remember WE pay THEIR Salaries and endure this process. Doesn't that seem abusive or Bizarre? Maybe, we could do a cost/benefit analysis for the American People vs the Govt. for Returns under a certain threshold?

I watched the whole video 3x. This is great advice. Starting out as an entrepreneur very few are willing to give you sound advice from my experience. Mainly because 99% of people don’t know and just pay what their employer, QuickBooks or turbo tax say, along with smaller cpa firms don’t look at you as a valuable customer because you can’t afford to spend a lot on the preparation. However in reality you cannot afford not to spend the money for good tax advice. Also knowing the difference in a tax preparer and tax advisor was a hard lesson that I had to learn.

Pat, what advice would you give to someone beginning to start a business this year. Should that person start the business or should they wait until the 2022 midterms? The reason for asking this question is because if my friend starts a business this year and Biden’s handlers get their tax plan approved, would that new tax law crush my friend’s business before it could even begin to grow? I do not want my friend to lose everything in starting a business this year only to see him lose it all because of higher taxes, higher interests rates for loans, new minimum wage laws, etc. What advice would you give to those thinking about starting a business this year.

Just my personal opinion your friend has 3 places to go and that would be Texas,Florida and Tennessee or move out of the U.S and renounce your citizenship but if he wouldn’t want to take ether of those opinions then learning every tax loophole or waiting until the next election would be his best bet just my personal opinion though hope it helps

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through a financial advisor.

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $21k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

My question for the guest would be this: If the 1980's tax breaks starting with President Reagan so great, why did it coincide with massive layoffs , outsourcing and companies moving away to Asia? Why do companies like apple continue to rake in billions, then use Ireland as a tax haven if the rates are so favorable? you know why? because companies don't want to invest anything back into their home country, unless it's for shareholders, CEO's and for automation purposes.
