I try so hard with roses, I’m just not good with them. Someone around the corner from me doesn’t take care of their yard but they get the most beautiful roses on their plants.

Appreciate the comments. Yes, knock out roses can be beautiful especially in a landscaping aspect. When I first started growing hybrid teas, I still had a few knockouts around the foundation of the house. You have 30 of them, have you tried a hybrid tea before? They make great cut flowers and some of them produce a fragrance that can’t be beat! 🌹

I had a neighbor ask me, "Why are you cutting down your roses?" I said, "I'm not... I'm deadheading them." I explained how it helps the plant to create new blooms, and be fuller when it comes back. I use a battery powered small hedge clipper on mine. I made sure the cuts are clean. I actually have the best looking rose bush in the neighborhood. It's actually a square hedge now. 🐀🐾

I NEVER comment on videos but had to share how much I love your work, your clear explanations, and how you film your videos. It’s direct, to the point, easy to understand, and you make all of this very approachable. I had 50 DA’s installed this spring, taking my rose count up to 73. I was gone for work for six weeks and the garden was under the care of an “experienced” gardener while I was gone. It was an absolute disaster to come back to, she killed some of the new roses, and ignored others altogether. I have a lot of work to do but your videos give me hope and reassurance.

What do you mean by florist roses do you mean the types of roses for boquets like those grown in Equadors in south America. Okey here in India we called them Dutch roses 😆 i dunno for what reason they are called that. Here, not here in northeast in our town but in the plains down there some rosarians do collect them the famous ones are Jumelia, High n magic, Moonstone, top secrets and others. I am dying to have them especially Jumelia. So, can we grow these florist roses in our house in containers. I would really want to have one. I don't like black baccara as they always tends to have very small buds and very sensitive. Your Gemini is my dream rose and Dolly Parton and Marlyn Monroe also that President rose i just forget the name famous red one that one?? Ok Lincon
