I think it's time for Mick Schumacher to also call it a day on his F1 career. I mean of all the years, and all the seats that have popped up, no one is taking him on. You can hang around forever, but when the last images, like Logan, are of you smashing millions of tech and money into the wall, no one wants to pick that up. What more is there to say on the Logan front. He got his chance, it didn't work out. Track record on track, which is what actually matters, is not good. It's not even sort of kind of good, its abysmal. Wish him luck in another series though if he gets one.

All good points, genuinely I think Logan broke under the pressure and with every failure he just couldn't bounce back. Besides the facts that, in my opinion, he was brought out of F2 too early (not by any means an excuse when Max went from F3 to F1, Bottas from GP3 to F1, and most recently the stellar performances from Liam and Ollie as reserve drivers) and onto a team that admittedly wasn't the most stable, he clearly put too much pressure on himself to perform and never had the best mental health while competing. He repeatedly mentioned missing his family and home, feeling left out from the European-dominated driver group, and in any promotional work I've seen of him he plain out looks defeated. Like with his last crash, his entire F1 career has been a cycle of responding to mistakes by trying to push through instead of slowing down and correcting. It's a dangerous mindset that he doesn't have the skills or experience to make it work. I feel an extra two or so seasons in F2 would have changed things, but that's only a "what if" musing. Hopefully Colapinto keeps a more collected mindset, I'd love to see him put on a good performance for a possible seat in his future. I also hope that coming back to the States and being with his family gives him the mentality reset Logan needs to come back and show the driver he can be. Williams has already stated that they will help Logan out with finding a new team in whatever kind of racing he decides to pursue, so we're likely to see him on a grid of some sort again.

I noticed, Logan just felt so broken being in this heavy euro centric environment and even his social media posts had become less. I think this is the best choice for him too allowing him to mentally recover, go back to the states and spend some time with family. Maybe that will allow him to regain his MOJO and hey if he performs superb in Indycar, what's to stop Andretti from considering him? A similar situation happened with Alex too at the end of 2020 when he was broken at Red Bull

Many say Colapinto is being rushed into F1 and he's another mid driver, but let me say you something. First of all, I bet that all those guys who think he's mid didn't even know him before his announcement. Apart from that, the decision is obviously low risk but also high reward. If he does well, Williams got a great driver at their team which they could use in the future. If he doesn't, he still offers more than Logan, he got the financial backing from Argentina, and he shall not be judged harshly because that'll show if he was rushed. After all, it didn't matter for Williams who they'd take now since they're waiting for Sainz for next year. I think that the money was the key here, cause loaning Mick or Lawson would cost a lot more than just promoting their driver, and they also will pay Sainz a lot next year. I won't be surprised if Colapinto was their first choice to replace Sargeant, anyway but I also don't rule out the possibility that Williams didn't reach a deal for Mick and Lawson either. Some guy in the comments said that Merc offered them a sale if Williams took Mick or Vesti but I haven't heard anything about it. I'm really looking forward to see how he'll do, I really believe he's a great driver and he got 9 races to show it, it's a good amount of GPs for him to prove himself. Also he really impressed Williams on his FP1 outing, mostly because of his approach and temper, he was always quite calm and didn't panic in some situations where others would, and also cause he got informed about it just a few days prior and had minimal preparation in comparison to other rookies when they're about to test in FP1. Let's see...

Really bad habit of Sargeant to stay on the throttle while going to crash. He did the same in the qualifying of Suzuka 2023. I found that crash to be so stupid that I would have fired him on the spot. Usually, I would be someone to give people more chances, but with Sargeant, no matter how nice of a guy he is, my patience with him has already run out last year. So good thing he was finally dropped. I don't think Colapinto will be much better, but we'll see. The kid deserves a chance.

The problem with finding an American driver is that F1 snubs Indycar drivers via its Super license points distribution. Colton Herta could be in F1 right now if Indycar drivers recieved just the same points distribution as F2 and I do not believe Colton would be embarrassing himself.

They're probably trying to future-proof the team if the car is shit in 26 and Alex and/or Carlos decide to gtfo out of there. At the end of the day, F1 is the most sink or swim business out there. When you look at Liam, Ollie or even Nyck de Vries to a degree, they all had to adapt quickly (in Liam's and Ollie's case even during their weekend) and they all were rewarded. Liam is seen as one of the best soon-to-be-F1 drivers (has to be in F1 next year, come on), Ollie is seen as one of the most exciting prospects (despite his and Prema's not great F2 campaign) and Nyck got his F1 shot (even though that went to shit. Oopsie daisy I suppose). Logan had a full year with testing and 23 weekends to improve during his rookie season. And he just didn't really improve going into the 2nd year... Idk the exact averages to Alex, but just the fact that he hasn't outqualified him OR outraced him shows, that he just wasn't good enough.The guy has talent, he's proven that, but F1 is just on another level in terms of pressure and expectation.

I dont see why he couldn't have just continued turning left a bit longer to get his wheel off the curb before the grass, there was a good second of time where his steering wheel was straight before casually running onto the grass when the curb ended. The fact Lawson only tied Logan in F2 during LS’ rookie season shows how overhyped he is. Anyway, when he started matching AA after getting an equal chassis it was a glint of hope, but this absurd crash merited an immediate drop. I hope his contract required he pay for race damage.

The P9 that earned him all his hope was going to be a P14 or worse if it weren’t for the amazing luck of having 6 different cars knocked out due mechanical failures, Russell crashing again or Perez punting them into the wall. I’m not saying he’s not OK, but the hype is crazy. And, yeah, Piastri is over hyped. He’s been consistently significantly slower than Norris and people keep acting like he’s about to take over as McLaren’s leader driver. But he’s a lot better than Lawson.

My biggest problem with people defending him is whenever they bring up the fact how he's outqualified Perez X number of times. That's probably the dumbest argument because, as mentioned in this video, he's been outqualified by Alex in normal conditions every single time, so Alex also has outqualified Perez the same number of times, maybe more. To be fair, Logan Sargent almost certainly would’ve commit corporate espionage if he stayed after Zandvoort. Like yikes… Caused nearly $7 Million worth of damages to the car and now destroying a whole upgrade package, they’re lucky they got rid of him.

Sargeant isn't a bad driver its just he's not at that level for F1. Do feel for him as he was rushed to the seat far too early but didn't help himself with the amount of times he crashed the car and being comfortably beaten by Albon but am still surprised they got rid of him and replaced him with someone with with very little experience in F1 cars.

I think he should have stayed in f2 longer, if he was a mature driver he could have done so much better, but that's just speculation. I am actually so sad he's gone :(

Honestly, Logan going on the grass would have been dumb in quali as well. While sure, you want to push and get the maximum, putting the car in the wall in Q1 a la Perez would not have brought them anything.

No, that Miami crash wasn't Magnussen's fault. Period. Magnussen had no space, on the other hand, Sargent had the WHOLE LINE and he KNEW Magnussen was next to him. In this scenarios the defender must give space for the attavking driver. Did he give space? No, he didn't. But no cares because it is not about Hamilton, Verstappen or Norris.

Me personally I think Schumacher and Zhou were a lot better as: - Schumacher, while crash prone, could achieve good results and beat his teammates on a good day and - Zhou is more consistent and can also deliver

Logan just isn't made for F1. I feel bad, but that's the way it is. I hope he gets a shot at a good Indycar team.
