A parent has to be an example of what they teach their children. Otherwise the children will know that their parents are hypocrites and won't listen to them. I was taught as a child to help those when they got down and couldn't do for themselves. My grandparents in parents actually live that life. When I became an adult I was a primary caregiver for four family members.

Years ago I learnt something wonderful about wolves & I love it! When they're travelling the alpha dog isn't at the front. At the front are the "soldiers", ie the healthy, protective warriors. Then there's the old, frail, young wolves/cubs, females etc. Last is the alpha wolf who protects them all by being behind the whole pack, like "having their backs". It really impressed me 😊

Some of those soldiers ARE the females. Female wolves are not particularly protected or in need of protection. That's absurd human Victorian nonsense. Wolves dont use gender stereotypes derived from relatively recent post-neolithic human cultures. The "alpha" is concept based on primates and even then it means almost the opposite of what most ppl think (the alpha male baboon is the one who gets along with everyone and gives out the most comfort/pats/ hugs). It doesn't really fit wolves. A wolf pack is a literal family. Their sex is purely reproductive and the reason there is no promiscuity is only 1 male and 1 female breed in a pack. The "alphas" are the breeding couple; they are equals though if the female is pregnant she becomes the lead decision maker/"alpha" about where to go etc (presumably because she is sensing where will be good to have pups). The soldiers are their older children, then there are pups. Furthermore wolves do NOT commit suicide. What a creepy and bizarre video and comment.

I had 27 full blooded wolves and learned so much from them. Wolves can detect earthquakes from 500 miles away. I have a whole neighborhood of witnesses. At first they didn’t like the idea of wolves living close by until the earthquake in alpine Texas hit and my wolves wouldn’t stop howling. I got home and I was told how they warned everyone. Yes I have experienced this twice. There are dogs which you still take care of and appreciate for whatever good traits and personality tbey bring and tban there are those who choose you and your bond is so strong it’s like freaking telepathy . It’s called a heart dog when tbe others are well, dogs and it’s your child and not your pet. And when you can’t physically see tbem touch tbem smell their fur anymore it’s tbe most gosh awful horrid grief .

I use to play with a Wolf, Malamute cross, she weighed 178 pounds and and was so cautious and gentle when we wrestled around....She was killed by the neighbor over fear. I miss her,her name was Keisha...she belonged to my brother...
